Best thing I guess about playing in the NT is learning accountability. Won't hurt him for his NBA journey. When you learn to defend it will provide value for your team's success.
It is clear Dante is playing like a new guy in a team - he doesn't want to step on anyone's toes and doesn't feel comfortable to take over. The australian national team has some older leaders whose team it is, and Dante is playing the dutiful rookie role. As this games doesn't matter he has clearly taken the handbrake off. He has been able to get past his man at will pretty much so far and has played good defence - his fitness has improved 100% since SL. 1-2 more seasons for the jazz, and I really think Dante's improvement will be quite sharp.
Lol, they've been playing the whole second half like they don't want to win it. I haven't seen worse defense from any team at the WC. It was like I was watching a team of Hardens in defense.
