Ellis and LBJ are the only three point shooters on that team, and they are just average 3 shooters. QSH can just pack it in the paint, and completely discombobulated Ellis's team. All anyone on that team knows is slashing and scoring in the paint. Other then LBJ there is no perimeter game. Ellis really needed to add some shooters to allow room for LBJ to operate. I almost feel like LBJ is competing against both QSH's team and his own teammates in a way, because the lane will be clogged with players on both teams. Lol

So are we looking at this as if these teams were literally drafted this summer directly from their respective teams in exactly the condition and experience level they are in right now, or as if they all would play as they would or did at the prime? Makes a big difference for Kobe Bryant for example as he is far from prime Kobe for the 2014-2015 season.

Yes as they are now.

Not that it matters. At this point, it's pretty clear that my lack of shooting is going to keep me from advancing. In hindsight, I wish I would have put a greater emphasis on shooters. Kept thinking I could get them later and put it off, but the guys I liked always went earlier than I expected them to. Think I might have fared better if I'd just gone with some of the other players that I considered instead of who I ended up picking.

Yah that's the problem with LeBron or Jordan type pick... your next pick is often too far away that it can be difficult to form a competitive team.

You just have to accept the fact that he'll be playing with lesser talents overall.

Yes and no. Trading up cost me my 2nd round pick, but there were still options for me at 32 and 56 that would have been better. Had I focused more on offensively minded players and taken Klay Thompson (#32), Paul Millsap (#53), either Wiggins/ Antetokounmpo (#57) and Isaiah Thomas (#60) I think my team would have fared better. Add a couple of young bigs and a slasher or two to fill out the roster, and I think people might have liked that better than what I actually went with. (Plus that sounds more like a team that I could root for TBH.)

Opportunities were there, but I don't think I had a focused plan when I started and that hurt me in the long run.

Yeah, I think you had plenty of talent. Seems people mostly crucified you for a lack of shooting.

QSH ftw...

I think he should get more credit for Rose and Bryant than he is getting. I think they will still be pretty darn good this next year. Also, QSH has a way better bench. Ellis' s bench is just too young.

This is simply a nonsensical result. There is no way QSH could win this match-up in a seven game series. It's not even clear if Kobe can even make it through a 7-game series. Rose hasn't proven **** since his long, LONG, hiatus. Pau is well past his prime, and is no longer that impressive a player. QSH has a good bench, but Ellis would still win.

Pau is so past his prime that he averaged 17.4, 9.7, 3.4, 1.5 last year. The him/Gortat combo would be sick tbh. The latter is severely underrated in this league.
