It still makes me sick that he wasn't thrown in jail, and even sicker a large majority of society vehemently defended his right to be free. Same folks who are celebrating Darren Wilson. Same people who made up the KKK back when that was 'socially acceptable'. I'd like to say the latest Zimmerman news is shocking, but it isn't. I hope he dies soon.
 
I don't know how mentally ****ed up he was before he killed Trayvon, but I'm pretty sure that experience hasn't helped him.

He's a great example of why the shot you don't take is often way better than the shot you do take. I haven't frequented firearms related websites in a long time but when I did, or when I read the comments sections on certain websites, I cringe when I read posts by people who sound like they're chomping at the bit to unload their magazine into some "bad guy." Well, Zimmerman shot a "bad guy" and look how well that worked out for him. Probably not living up to his fantasy.
 
I don't understand why none of these people have pressed charges or chosen to drop charges. Four incidents, you would think at least one or a couple of them would have pressed charges.
 
Press what charges? I've heard plenty of people say "**** you I'll kill you". What exactly is the crime? Hell for about a year it was my son's favorite thing to say when he got mad because my wife would over react to it.

You're totally right. He's completely harmless; just like your son getting a rise out of your wife. Shooting and killing an unarmed person, followed up by a couple assaults then stalking someone to work they'd threatened to kill the day prior is filed under the 'boys will be boys' category.

On second thought, he's a hero and a champion of the stand your ground laws. A model American with a clean record. You and him should run for presidency together in '16 - you can be the vice president then take on issues such as reforming societal treatment of multiple violent offenders.

In the wake of all the Ray Rice news, a lot of victims of domestic abuse and violence have shared stories about being threatened into not pressing charges or thinking it was their fault, and things of that nature. It's also possible money was involved, unfortunately, but I have no basis for that claim aside from assuming the new KKK (same people raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Ferguson pig piece of **** Wilson) raised money for him when he was going through the legal system after killing Trayvon Martin.

But ask LogGrad98 - it's totally cut and dry and a complete non-issue. Just a normal guy who's being vilified by the liberal media. He's no different than a kid swearing at his mother.
 
Why is it a surprise that a controversial public figure would get into altercations and have to threaten lives to protect himself?

Him being a public figure has nothing to do with his ex-wife and new girlfriend who called the police on him, and neither does the guy Zimmerman tailed and then threatened him specifically with his 'public' persona.

Or you could actually specify the law he broke. A threat does not constitute breaking of the law. Normally it is a pattern, a show of overt physical danger, or it has to be in writing combined with other actions, which normally would constitute harassment to begin with. In that case then the person being harassed needs to bring it to the attention of the police and provide the evidence they have been threatened, and then possibly get a restraining order. Threats in and of themselves do not constitute breaking the law, and no matter how much you want this vigilante to get some vigilante justice past crimes have no bearing on future crimes, unless they are directly related, although they might on future sentence. Every case has to be taken on its own merits.

If you think this is new you know literally nothing about domestic abuse. Count yourself lucky.
 
Wait a second... The guy who has every black person in America threatening to kill him is under fire for doing it three times? Let me just go on record as saying that I have threatened to beat NAOS to death and will gladly extend the offer to HighlandHomie.

Apparently there are some laws under which he could be charged. Unfortunately in all cases, the threatened parties declined to press charges. Intimidation? Perhaps they felt the penalty would be a slap on the wrist and then Zimmerman would come after them. I predict this won't be the last time we hear of this guy. Someone WILL get killed. He's gotten away with it once, and seen that nothing is done when he threatens others. He's like the old gunslingers in the West; just looking to pick fights so he can put another notch on his gun. Let's just hope someone he confronts in the future is quicker on the trigger.

How the hell does he have a new girlfriend? A fat *** ex-mall cop? What is in the water there in Florida?

I'm so pissed! Maybe I need to move out of Utah and get to the south? I have all my teeth, a degree, and a career... A few pennies saved and numerous Utah jazz shirts and flags....

Btw, this has nothing to do with my current drought... I don't even want to date anyone in the first place... Girls are stupid...
 
He appears to be a moron who hasn't learned from his whole ordeal.

It also makes me doubt his story even more. I still believe there wasn't enough evidence to overcome reasonable doubt for a murder charge, but if he's this hot tempered I'm not sure he was just minding his own business when some ruffian just decided to cheap shot him out of nowhere.

In most jurisdictions criminal threats are a misdemeanor, though I don't know what qualifies to the extent a DA would prosecute one.

In Florida it appears that a threat would fall under a simple assault charge, which is a class 2 misdemeanor there:

Not that I'm a lawyer at all, but in this case the sticking point would be convincing a jury the guy being threatened was really in fear of his safety.
