Amazon Instant Prime or Netflix streaming?

I have both this year, but am going to get rid of Netflix I think. Do any of my fellow Jazzfanz members have a preference? Any favorite movies/shows on either?

If you have Amazon Instant Prime I HIGHLY recommend watching the series Transparent. It's raunchy but truly one of the smartest, most emotionally challenging shows I've ever watched. It's also got plenty of humor as well. Anyone else seen it?
 
I've been pretty disappointed in Amazon instant prime. Always seems like the stuff I want to watch they are charging for. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

Agreed that most things I want to watch aren't available streaming on Prime or Netflix... You should give Transparent a whirl on Amazon Instant Prime though while you still got it.

I have both just because Amazon has a few show I like that Netflix doesn't carry. The UI is terrible though. I would say the same thing about HBOGo. Somehow Netflix nailed it (except for browsing their library) but nobody will copy them.
 
I order a lot of stuff on Amazon, so the 2 day shipping is my main motivator for prime. The free ebooks and prime music is a nice perk too. They recently added (or I just noticed) that they have ad-free music stations similar to Pandora. I don't watch many shows on prime though, as the selection is not good. The majority of the shows on Prime that I like are on Netflix anyway. There are good shows for the kids on Prime though.
 
I use amazon prime for just about everything except video streaming. The interface is a streaming pile so much so that I pay another 10 bones a month to use Netflix
 
What's the best streaming service for movies? I currently have Netflix but I'm starting to run out of movies to watch, LOL ...

You do realize that the offerings are regional. Netflix for us would be different than NZ's Netflix.
