What's new

For stoked GAME THREAD!!

It's called fandom. And really, IDGAF what you think. I'm a Jazz fan to the end.

To some people, being a fan isn't just supporting your team when they're not very good, but it's wanting them to be the best they can. Sometimes that means it's best for a coach/player to leave. Recognizing that doesn't make somebody less of a fan, it just makes them more realistic, and quite frankly, less ignorant towards the situation.

I wanted Ty gone, badly. I wanted him gone because as a fan, I wanted the best for my team. Don't act like you're better than people because you supported everybody, all the time. Some people aren't content with mediocrity...some people are.

I'm probably in the small boat that doesn't think Corbin was an awful coach, but he was an extremely boring coach.

I think Corbin failed because he tried to hard to be like Jerry Sloan. That's just imo of course. It's just a guess. I don't really know. But that what I take from it. He should have tried to be his own man and coach his own way. It doesn't work trying to be someone else.

Awful? No.

Below-average? Yes.

A good fit for the roster we had? Absolutely not.

I would categorize him as being completely average. I do think he had an overall positive impact on our young players development, it was just much slower than anyone wanted.

^Nailed it.

I'm not worried about him being good, but he was drafted on the basis of having super-star potential. Currently not seeing that.

Exactly.

Right now we are just hoping he is going to be good.

I don't get why people thought he was is the Jabari or Wiggins class anyways though. He never looked like he had it to me. LOL at the thought of him going number 1 overall in that class. It was actually a popular thought.

I've watched 2 of Jarbari's preseason games, he also looks pretty average. Still has the terrible shot selection he had at Duke.

I thought Ian Clark actually looked pretty good today. I think Snyder is going to let Exum make a lot of mistakes, but if he is consistently turning the ball over like he did tongiht, you have to put someone else in the game so they rest of the team can develop.

LOL at your judgments coming after 3 preseason games.

And, every person who floated the idea that he could have gone #1 also said he wasn't as NBA ready (i.e. not as good right now). He was being lauded for potential, which he still has, even after not passing your 3-game eye-test.

Chill teh **** out.
