Jazz waive Brock Motum

Meh, both Cooley and Motum are better players than Evans. I'm sure they can find other teams in the NBA.

I think the same...there was more than a reason to keep Motum...Evans will be gone next season and he could have been Kanter substitute if the Jazz does not want to keep him.

There are not many young stretch-4 with Motum skills!

After he good play in summer league I thought he should have been given more of an opportunity to play in the preseason.

Jesus beasly is a knucklehead. Was one of the first to be cut which tells me they saw his attitude and said no ****ing way. Sad for my UNLV boys, but birch has a place in the league imo.

Yeah, he signed in China apparently a few days after that. I think the fact that OKC has one of his good childhood friends, Kevin Durant, and could use some firepower off the bench and yet have never been interested in him says it all. He's a talented guy though. Maybe he'll go score 40/game in China, gain some fire, mature a little, and then have a Gerald Green like return to the NBA in a few years. Probably not though.

Why the hell are they not cutting Murray? Dude never saw hardly any court time, and seemed like an after thought.

Partially guaranteed contracts are trading chip gold. We can trade him away for his full salary, then a team who gets him can cut him and only pay half the salary.

Don't hate on Toure Murry!

Where in my post did I hate on Murry? Murry really doesn't have a place here, and I like the potential of Motum as a stretch 4

Fact is Murry got into like one game for limited minutes, and is behind three pg's and at least 3 or 4 sg's or guys that will spend time at sg, and who knows how long or if Kanter even fits here.

If Utah ends up missing Motum, the team is really in trouble.
I find it amusing we're arguing over the 13th-15th guys on the roster.
These are players who can easily be replaced at any time by someone in the D-League depending on need (e.g. in case of a significant injury).

The guy was the leading scorer in the Pac12 for two straight years and there is a reason he wasn't drafted by anyone. I do find it a little strange when one of the papers said he may have been the best player in the intersquad scrimmage and Favors said he was really good that Snyder didn't at least give him some kind of run in the preseason. It seems like he got in one game for 10 minutes and scored 7 points in that game. Perhaps he and Cooley will be world beaters for the Stampede.
