I didn't know this was an absolute. I'm staunchly pro gay marriage and legalizing marijuana and would prefer the federal government be run as a business to eliminate waste in all areas and I do not believe we can legislate our way to a better tomorrow. If that's conservative then fine by me.
 
Any more though anything slightly to the right of Obama or bill maher is considered hopelessly "neocon" or "tea party" and worthy of every derision known to man and plans to sterilize them along with every other quasi-conservative in sight. Uh oh another conservative who might have a differing opinion let's call them clever names with our fingers in our ears so we don't have to force ourselves to hear anything other than the party line rhetoric of dear leader.

We are the talking about a President who instituted a Republican plan for health care, relies on the same basic group of Wall Street money people that every President since Reagan relied on, supports a large, invasive, unaccountable national security apparatus, refused to even investigate the use of torture, etc. What of his policy suggestions are so liberal?

Did you mean that he's a very left liberal deep in his heart, even though his actions indicates otherwise? How would you know?

OB, raises some great points. Obama has kept, for the most part, the status quo. I wonder where all of his supporters are at that complained when those same decisions were being made Mr. Bush. I remember when Mr. Obama was on the electrion trail and one of the main critiques from the GOP side was that Mr. OBama was not a war time president. That Mr. Obama would be soft with the war on terror. He's been nothing but the complete opposite. If anything, he's surpassed the other side in his decision to wantonly assassinate US citizens in sovereign countries...without a trial.
