What's new

Following potential 2015 draftees

factoid worthless to this board so I'll just stash it here, inappropriately.

Rajon Rondo is 1st player since Magic Johnson in 1983 w/ at least 35 assists & 25 rebounds in his team's 1st 3 games of a season.

Hantlers went from being the self professed smartest poster in this thread, to being to proud to take this here letter L. Its probably a decent tactic, waiting to argue about something that you weren't completely wrong about.

I just love to see the progression jazzfanz, stay real. ;)

my scouting report on Trey Burke was spot on, c'mon now, you know this. aint none of yall can tell me nothing, end of discussion. I see my complaints being echo'd on this site, years after the fact.

Someone just give this man a belt and a ring already.

Ohhh, and Alex Len 97 draft rating?

Belt and Ring revoked.

Good thing I have never professed to be an expert. I just watch Hantlers and do the opposite. That guy is just over-the-top obnoxious about his bbIQ.. if he's even real, and not an alt, anyway..

What did Rivals have B.J. Mullens rated?!? Those guys put their names and next to that, I post anonymously on an internet message board, FOR FUN.

didnt ESPN and a bunch of other half-wits have 6'3" Austin Rivers rated over Anthony Davis?!? I'd rather have my own perspective than accept that garbage as the status quo, yall see my hits and misses, i'm either damn lucky or pretty good.

I had Hasheem Thabeet and Enes Kanter rated 97 aswell, how are those not immeasurably worse than Alex Len ?? (whos clearly the suns best option at C).

I liked Len over Nerlens, I'm still up in the air about it, theyre young...

I have $$$ on Nerlens to win the RoY, and was feeling very confident in it, until i watched him grab 1 board in 30 minutes last night, and thought tomyself, well thats probably one of the reasons i preffered 7'1 260lb Alex Len.

That draft aired on ESPN, their 'expert' (Jay Bilas) had Ben McLemore #1...

Anyway...

What do yall think of the preseason AP All-American's ??

Marcus Paige,
North Carolina PG Jr. 17.5 ppg, 4.2 apg
Montrezl Harrell, Louisville F Jr. 14.0 ppg, 8.4 rpg
Frank Kaminsky, Wisconsin F Sr. 13.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg
Fred VanVleet,
Wichita State PG Jr. 11.6 ppg, 5.4 apg
Jahlil Okafor,
Duke C Fr. 24.1 ppg, 11.3 rpg*

gotta say, I like Paige in the 2nd round, great value imo, reliable shooting 6'2 PG.

His game always reminded me of Ginobili, cept hes got way more bounce. I call em Mario 'Silent J' Hezonja I'd argue he's tailor made for this style of ball movement, offense tbh, Ive been watching/posting about him for years. the key for Utah is, he's lightning quick at making backdoor cuts, and can flat out kill you working that baseline, spectacular finishes.. top-shelf scoring instincts.

I kinda see it like, Oubre's strength is with the ball, Hezonja's is without the ball and Stanley's is more of a multi-purpose defender, All 3 of them are really damn good though, its splitting hairs.

Fwiw I'd take Jaylen Brown over any of em. I posted about Jaylen on this site when he was 13th or 14th, and said he looked pretty damn good, he's now ranked 1st or 2nd by all services

meant to post this play.

half Ginobili half Kerry Kittles, imo. He's a different type of player than Hood, whos more limited to be on the perimeter, He's also much more aggressive than Hayward, I think he'd look awesome on the Jazz, hes got a way of finishing plays emphatically, Prime Dante would make him look even quicker and more athletic, tbh.

I like the list okay. Especially considering this is college play this year.. and in no way projects ceilings.
I probably like Harrell the least on that list.. followed by Kaminsky. I'm not so sure Dekker isn't better than Kaminsky.. we kinda exposed him in the tourney, even without WCS.

Can someone refresh me on why Austin Rivers was ranked #1 in the land? Because he scored 30 points on an ESPN game vs Brandon Knight as a sophomore??

or was it something they called "intangibles"? thats what i remember. that word was attached to Michael Kidd Gilchrist also.

Isnt it insane that these professionals, could use the word intangibles to describe something, the irony is too much. thats the last word id ever want someone to use if i was paying for reports, im looking for tangible, actionable information, goddamnit :D.

'we have such a great grasp on his 'intangibles' that were going to throw out other tangible evidence and rank him #1.'

and thats why i almost signed up for these premium scouting services, but it felt morally corrupt, Infact im giving 50 bux to the next homless person I see, they cant possibly spend it more recklessly than on some 'experts' opinions.
