What's new

The evidence continues to grow, allmost to rapidly

Someone needs to make a thread with the best and most probable trade situation where we can get rid of Burke and Kanter for a pure backup pointguard that's under 30 and somebody that can shoot the ball.

who in their right minds would trade for Trey Burke at this point?! There were much better low cost options available this off-season, they cant turn back now. the Jazz paid too high of a price to trade him for a pittance right now, the jazz feet are firmly planted in the ground on this one, I'm certain the Jazz value him way higher than the other teams, only because they'd like to save face.

He was supposed to be battle-tested... Thats supposed to show up every night, not every once in a while.. He looks like hes struggling to me, and im not even talking about his game, dat body language is terribad, dude goes from scowling to hanging his head...

Exum has played well, but there is no way he's ready to play over 25 minutes a game. He doesn't have the stamina nor the experience. Quin has to either fix Trey or DL has to trade him for a starting point. Kanter and Burke for Monroe and DJ Augustine.

probaby need to add a pick on that

edit: unless monroe is expiring?

No need.
We have our pure backup pg already.

His name is raul neto

Good point, I was just thinking off the whim. Let's have the focus of the thread be on how we can send off our junk in trade for a high pick or big man who can shoot. I want Karl Towns.

A lot of people were on the Burke bandwagon leading up to the draft. We can play this game with every draft.

The Hype-nitis sets in every year, The experts are wrong... every year.... does that mean the ends justify the means? we dont learn from Yinka Dare?? just chalk it up to bad luck, and move on??

I refuse to accept that crap as the status quo.. I know for a fact, that most people are terrible at their jobs, especially old people, that does not preclude these scouts, mock draft websites and espn on-air personalities.

As somebody that is very critical of Burke, I just don't see the point of trading him right now.

As most of you have said, the value we would get back wouldn't be worth it at all.

Also, we are what, 7 games into the season and declaring Exum ready to handle a starting role? I've been blown away, seriously, at how well Exum has played to start but I think a lot of that can be attributed to the role he has been put it. It is absolutely perfect for him to ease into the NBA this way. I'm not for throwing him to the wolves for many reasons but mainly because we haven't seen how he handles having his confidence shaken yet.

I think I've seen enough of Burke to know he isn't in a shooting slump, he just can't shoot, but that can change. He is 21. Too early to give up on him.

Ummm no

I'm ready to trade Trey as soon as someone else wants him. He is the only dude on our team that I think has an attitude problem. I'm afraid that TB may be contagious. Not worth it.

Some possible future homes of Burke
Kings
Bulls
Lakers (if they had anything to trade)

his shot is just not falling AT ALL.....

really have no clue what is going on with burke and I really like burke.
And his man is moving too much when he tries to play defense.

Sometimes you just can't control everything.

I would have agreed with you back in October.
Me too.
Exum has now played 25, 27 and 21 minutes in his last three games. I don't think we need a starter; Exum is going to eventually be given that role. But we do need an experienced PG who could split minutes with Dante, and start if needed. Utah is thin right now at PG. Is Clark the 3rd PG? I'd hate to see either Burke or Exum miss a game and see Clark or Burks play PG for extended minutes.
