he went 1-8 today this is freaking aweful...

like 30% on the year and 22% from 3.

think kanter has a higher % at this point.

Maybe this guy just cant shoot well at all?

Don't forget his OUTSTANDING 38%/33% last season.
But the guy is CLUTCH! He's going to turn it around. Any day now, any day...

Meanwhile, Jazz can afford to keep him on the court because he's a lock-down defender.

He has a lot of problems defending too but mainly he has a big problem shooting....

he is building a ouse with all these bricks...

WTF? Kanter's problem isn't his FG%. What a stupid ****ing thing to say. You skipped over his D, his turnovers, his low BBIQ, etc, and you picked on his FG%??

He's at 49% if you're wondering.

I believe he was talking about Kanter's 3pt FG% which is 27% right now. And Kanter doesn't have a serious turnover problem even though he is coming off a 5 turnover game. Just 2.1 Turnover per game, 0.3 higher that Favors. You are right about everything else though.

Oh, that makes sense (the 3pt% part). I'm really surprised that he's only averaging 2.1 TO. It seems like half of his screens are illegal, and half of his pump up fakes end up with him travelling.

Hayward's slumps, even last year, weren't as bad as Trey's to start this season.

you might want to look into the beginning of Hayward's sophomore year.

December: FGA 3.0-8.0 (.375) 3pointers 0.8-2.5 (.300)
January: FGA 3.0-7.9 (.381) 3pointers 0.7-2.5 (.263)
February: FGA 3.8-7.9 (.479) 3pointers 0.3-1.7 (.160)

Thanks I was actually talking about last season but I don't see why his other seasons shouldn't count either. Still doesn't quite compare to Trey's 30%/22% he's shooting right now.

Hayward has never had more than 4 consecutive games shooting <33% from the field, Trey Burke is on 6 and counting.

It's a nasty slump, even for someone like Trey who I'm not even convinced can shoot anyways. The biggest difference between a Trey and Hayward slump is Hayward still typically managed to salvage his game at the FT line but we all know Trey has trouble getting to the FT line too so it is even more important that he knock down his shots.

A more significant difference is that we knew that Hayward had the physical tools to succeed in the league: size, athleticism. Trey, not so much. If Trey cannot shoot from outside well, he is about worthless, maybe a backup.

You know how bad teams stay bad for a long time? Draft bad players. Jazz have missed more than they hit with all those lottery picks. Sadly DOL seems just as bad as KOC, Trey was on DOL, Kanter on KOC.

I think he was taking about 3 pt %

Oops

I just want to thank trey for taking most of the criticism so it isn't all falling on alec who is also struggling to find his outside shot.

Also want to thank kanter for carrying the load during the first few games

Not all the blame should go to DOL, wasn't Burke Corbin's guy?
