I had a feeling a5 was your move, it's not a problem.

Edit made. Take your time, no rush.

My response is Bd8.

So here are the main points of concern with this move/choice:

If I complete the pawn "trade" this move, my rook is not adequately defended, OB's Bishop can take my d pawn and I can't take it thie next move.

Other moves have adverse consequences as well. So I am going to do so etching else.

20. Bxd4 cxd4

Your rook seems to be well-protected by your bishop, mine is en prise.

19. ... Rxh5
20. Nxd7 Nxd7
21. Bxd4

That looks good for me, perhaps.

To defend the c pawn . . . .

I see the strength of your decision. Well, it looks like you will get your Queen. I thought you would not do this sacrifice, but this is something I did go over before. I just don't remember my solution, if I had one, right now. I will take a while on this.

I might have been mistaken thinking ihad a way past this.

Your comments about the King defense power was certainly demonstrated in my game with Siro. He sorta trapped his power in his approach to mate.

So I resigned this game once, then wanted to give it a try. I think your patience has paid off, I believe you have a gonclusive advantage now.

I needed that knight no matter what..

I play Rd8
I assume you mean Re8. This grid issue is awful.

So finally I pay the price for letting that pawn go on that lone adventure.

You play Rd8. I take, then the queen, but you have your knight and all those other proto-Queens.

I resign.

You should play some of the ushers. *ha ha, what that minipad does to my eyes and fingers. . . . *others.

Hard for me to show you my concern using my mini pad. It's worse than that, it could be a mate result. So anyway, that's why I had to do what I did the last three moves.

I had planned on a4, but after your a5 I don't like position if you respond to a4 with b4. I'll take a slower approach.

I used to love playing chess online but it is so easy to cheat online. All you have to do is open a board vs the computer at expert level (above 2.3k rating) and mirror the moves your opponent does against the computer and do the computers moves vs the player you are playing against.

If you're not in a tournament, I don't see the point in doing that. Any potential gain is outweighed by the loss.

If you are USCF or Elo 1400 to 1800 level you can give anybody here a good game. Nobody here plays to expert strength, let alone 2300 which would be a strong master, so you should play if you love to play chess. I've been playing a few games of blitz in the early morning to get my brain to wake up so you could also try that. At blitz most everybody makes blunders and there are plenty of websites to play real people.

So our game is over? That's an end to a magnificent era! I want to congratulate you for your great effort and admirable patience.

I'm up for another game, Enes CanTear You Apart . Which color would you prefer?
Deosn't matter sir, please you choose. But I will only play if you are up to a long long long game :)

This. There is just no meaning at cheating at online chess and it's almost impossible to do it in online blitz games anyway. Even someone does cheat, it would be pretty much obvious unless he is an actual IM or GM.

Btw people, how many of us chess lovers are there in this thread? Are we 8? If we have at least 8 people or so, maybe we should just organize a blitz tournament. If someone volunteer to arrange it(sadly I don't have time for it) I know a great way to play the games. At lichess.org when you click "play with a friend" button it gives you a unique game link and you just give that link to the person you want to play with. When the opponent click the link the game begins. It's the easiest thing, doesn't even require to register to the site. If a tournament master organizes, schedules and records the games I believe any of us can spare 20 mins for a 10 min blitz game.

I know it wouldn't be the same with the correspondence-chess-like games that we are playing in this thread but I'm sure it would be very enjoying as well to play live games against each other. With the small number of us here, I think we could play a round robin system tournament where each player plays with all of the other players.

For an example game, please one of you guys(One Brow?) click the below link. It is an unlimited timed game so it will always be there and no need to hurry about it. You can also write your name in the chat box that is next to the chess board so we can be sure of each other.

Sure, I'd like to play some blitz. Ten minutes seems like a long game though. I prefer five with maybe 2 or 3 second incremental but whatever people agree is okay. I played one game at your site just to see if it was iPad compatible and got crushed. I think I'll play better as I get more accustomed to their format.

Oh same here, after many years I played a few blitz games a few days ago and I got crushed mostly as well. I had quit the chess at around 1650 official rating(I was probably about to improve into 1800s) but I'm afraid I'm at more like 1400-1500 range now. Of course, it would be even worse in blitz.

As for the time, I'm all good for 5 min blitz to 15 mins rapid. Incrementals would be alright as well. Unless it's too long like 8+ seconds. Because then it practically becomes a much more longer game.

Btw, did you abort the game which I gave the link of?
