Culture shock moment

So I go to this venue in downtown SLC last night to watch a show and... they didn't sell any beer, only water? I'm like are you serious? I can't go through a rock show with just water! So I find myself driving to the nearest gas station to buy a couple of beer cans and chug em' down before the show. This my friends, will be hard to get used to... Won't be coming back to that venue any time soon unless Dream Theater plays, so never!

You said earlier that you were going to kilby court so yeah. That place has been straight edge since forever. There used to be a local stoner band that would do 420 shows around the corner from there. One 420 a bunch of gutter punks decided they were going to go **** with them. It did not end well.

Missed who said that but yes I'm a big fan of DT, I've seen them 4 times in Spain. Iron Maiden once. About venues, Urban Lounge --> Good sound, In The Venue --> I can't come around the separating the drinking area from the stage

Straight edgers are why I support concealed carry.

Though thankfully their influence here is pretty nil.

This is less of a culture shock and more of a minor annoyance.

When I first moved to the U.S. as a teenager, I ended up in the ghettos of Richmond, VA. On the second night after my arrival, I was looking out of the window, and I saw a man shoot another right in the face. THAT was a culture shock.

I bet that the weapon wasn't obtained legally and that the shooter did not have a concealed carry permit. The Ghetto killed the man. American ghettos will always be full of illegal guns but America doesn't have to be full of ghettos.

Sounds like you're blaming the ghetto and not the people who succumb to the pressures that their surrounding ghetto throws upon then.

Trout, which one of these hashtags will become thee slogan for your next ill-advised, fall flat on your face campaign?
Giving a damn was simply not enough, and although I tried, failed, tried again, failed and then quit, I really did give it everything I had. That four year stretch was the most work I've ever done where I didn't receive a penny, but was verbally abused almost daily. F politics. The dumb *** people of Utah get exactly what they deserve.

I'm not. Ghettos are created and perpetuated by society/us/you and me. We can fix iy if we really wanted to. I am saying that we have to deal with our social problems and not pretend that we can fix them by banning guns. It sure as **** didn't work when we banned drugs.

wait sorry drunk read it again

I totally am blaming the ghetto. I would like to say that I would never shoot someone in the head over control of a street corner but the truth is that I ****in might if that was the hand I was dealt. There is certainly a place for personal responsibility but there is also social resposibility.

There are things we can alll do to change things but more often than not we choose not to,
