I loved the draft pick and kept saying he will get better but come on the guy is awful. trade him for a couple of Asian condoms and move on.

flame away - or sign your name if you want him traded

I thought this was one of his more active games defensively.

Although he and the other PG gem of the 2013 NBA Draft missed 31 shots combined - YIKES.

Well, he takes and misses a lot of shots. He's the one bright spot keeping us competitive in the lottery standings.

At this point, I don't see Trey ever becoming anything more than a career backup. I'd be more than happy if Utah could get decent trade value out of him, but I think it's more likely he just ends up being our backup PG.

He didn't improve as much as I thought he would over the offseason, but I don't hate the guy.

I'm trying to recall the times & circumstances that an established starting pg has accepted going to the bench for a younger unproven player AND it worked out well.

The only example coming to mind, and it might be a good comparison is Charlotte 2011-12. DJ Augustine had started 82 games the year before, Charlotte drafted Kemba, DJ started only 48 games the next season then just went away as a FA.

Just 2.5 more years!

I get it. I felt the same way going into tonight's game. Sitting from the sixth row changed my mind about Trey Burke though. Watching him on TV and watching him up close are two completely different experiences. Same thing goes for Enes Kanter, which I will get back to. Basically, on TV Trey looks like garbage, but when you watch him up close you can clearly see he plays really, really hard and is mentally tough as nails. I am back on the Trey Burke bandwagon so long as he can reign in his game a bit and play within himself.

Enes on the other hand is the complete opposite. On TV the last few games I was becoming a fan. Pulls some real interesting moves once in awhile. But sitting a few rows away from him gave me some new insights into his personality. Dude is lacking confidence. Seems real shook up. Based on an extremely limited sample, I came away with this conclusion about Enes: Dude needs to be told he is doing a good job constantly. He really needs praise. Early in the game he missed some shots and got a few foul calls against him and you could clearly see he was frustrated. Began to press. Then when he went to the bench he looked very mopey. Really handles criticism and negative feedback poorly. I came away a little more concerned about Enes. I realized his battles are in his head. Could go either way for him going forward if he isn't handled properly.

Is this some sort of new knowledge? PKM told us about Enes' charakter and personality a long time ago and it's not like it's something you can't see. I would be concerned with Enes if Corbin was still the coach but with Dr. Q I am not concerned at all. He is showing growth under Quin and that is what matters.

As for Trey, a player that shoots 36/30 and more often than not has the most FGA of the team has to be a)very confident or b)lacks any kind of self assessment.

Maybe it's just me but I take the the talented kid with confidence issues over a player with reality issues.
