Milwaukee Buck's shrink calls Exum soft?

Says the guy who did absolutely nothing but talk **** about hayward for the last year.
Did you see me complaining about Hayward halfway through his rookie season?...like many posters here are doing with Exum? If the answer is no, kindly STFU. Thanks.

It took Gordon Hayward 5 ****ing seasons to finally learn how to play with confidence and we're getting down on a teenaged Exum not even halfway through his rookie season? The irony...
Hayward scored 34 points in a game against the nuggets in his rookie year

In the very last game of the season. Exum still has 51 more chances to prove what he can do in his rookie year.

Just for ****s and giggles...
First 31 games in the NBA:
Exum: 4.9 ppg, 2.0 apg, 1.6 reb, 40.4% FG, 35.1%3PT
Gtime: 3.5 ppg, 0.6 apg, 1.7 reb, 43.4% FG, 36.3%3PT

Pretty darn close IMO.

I'm just barely starting to buy into Hayward. Still has those 'ugh' moments, but not as often now

After the summer league I thought with he would get injured sooner or later with that style of play. İt was the coach who decided to use him more of a spot up shooter. This not only helped him improve his shooting mechanics but also kept him healthy. Taking less responsibility was fine too. We'll see him get more agressive later this year. Much more next year. Overall I'm happy with his progress. He is a project ffs, the least ready player of whole draft aling with Caboclo.

I've said for awhile now that Dante reminds me a lot of Gordon Hayward when he first came into the league, and Gordon was older and had played a couple of prolific seasons of college basketball at a high (almost championship) level. Imo, the current version of Gordon Hayward is Dante Exum's floor. I have no idea what his ceiling is. For those who want Exum to be Kobe Bryant in attitude, it's just not him or his personality. He's not experienced enough, strong enough or confident enough to play that way - yet. But he's a damn hard worker and has elite physical skills to develop. He's doing exactly what his coach wants him to, and so far. . . he's significantly improved his shooting mechanics and his handle in the first half of his rookie season. Quin has a plan for his development and they're committed to it.

I don't expect much from Exum this year or next. My guess is that they are counting on him to be the starter his 3rd year, which is exactly before Hayward and Favors can both become free agents again and when Gobert and Burke will be heading into their RFA seasons. Trust the process. It's a true 5 year plan. They're not skipping steps and they're not going to panic.
