What's new

I Like Elijah Millsap

Sap needs to calm down. His only basket last night was close in. He had to be able to hit the medium range shots to stay up here.

Enes Kanter. Fantasizes about trading him for an otter and a porter.

Wait, Washington is willing to throw an Otter in the trade for Porter. Imma gonna rethink this. I love me some Otters, hands down most fun animal to watch at the zoo.

Yeah a lot of DL guys try to prove they belong by shooting every time they touched the ball - see Brian Christopher. EM is no kid though he's probably been around long enough to know what it takes to get noticed

He may not be a shooter, but he's confident breaking toward the rim and passing the ball off for an easy layup. So guys want to sag off of him? Attack the rim and pass off. Which is exactly what he did several times last night.

I'll take the 4 assists and 0 turnovers over any point total he could have put up. Most D League players behave erratically in the NBA and are generally selfish, jump shot happy.
E. Millsap won't ever be as good as his brother, but he can still be an NBA player.

It will probably take more than one game for me to decide how good I think he is

Ill take 30 points over 4 assist. You tarded bro?

Baby Sap deserves a bump. 3-4 3pts, 4 boards, 2 steals and a block in his second game. Solid!

He looked really good.

It's also very weird to see him close up. It's like I'm looking at Paul Millsap shrunken down.

Highly doubtful. I'm enjoying the ride though, even if it may be a short one.

Threes against OKC were probably an outlier. But he played great defense considering he's been a career D-Leaguer. He'll be signed for the rest of the season. And maybe even given a partial guarantee to make sure he stays in Utah for SL and training camp. He's a perfect end-of-bench player.

I've been impressed. In the eye test I think he looks like a better fit than Burks. He's a far better defender and a far more willing passer. Not sure about the shooting though. I love the hustle and athleticism I've seen so far.

ESap is well above average as a perimeter defender (that is, if the past two games are sufficient evidence). In the DLeague, he was trying to score in a variety of ways -- ways that won't translate too well to the NBA. With that in mind, if he were to focus on his 3pt shot as the place where his offense begins, then I can see him becoming reliable. Isn't league average something like 36%? He can get there. There's nothing terribly wrong with his form.

He reminds me of Carroll when he first got here. I doubt the hot shooting continues but the defense is nice... Think he just sent williams packing.

Excuse me? Burks is a great scorer and a generally fantastic player. You're comparing him to this scrub? wow.

Why? We have 15 roster spots. Williams is also known as a good defender. I'd start Millsap and bring in Williams behind him. Ingles should back up Hayward.
