Yes, quite shocking that as a male, I don't relate well to things that females do. Shocking.

Even more shocking that my wife agrees with me. She must be a misogynyst as well.

dude, ppl are ppl. If a woman is making a period joke, sure we can't relate-- but for you to paint with a broad brush and say you can't relate to all female comedians basing that off of sex alone is rather narrow-minded. I relate to some comedians more than others-- sex has nothing to do with it. Maybe there is a culture of the themes of stand-up routines that female comics are raised in the environment of, but that is not a reflection of their biology in any sense. It's a construct.

meant to edit in "all female comedians as well as men" right after making my post, but I completely forgot to.


Anywho. Re-visit my post keeping that correction in mind (if you wish), and you'll see that the point still stands.

Hantlers doesn't find many women funny. So what? We're gonna crucify him for it? I'll second his notion because I find few women funny. Then again, I find most men unfunny right now too. When Kevin Hart's the best Hollywood can consistently march out there from stage to screen, there's a bad shortage of funny.

Can I be a moderator so I can start issuing suspensions? There's this body builder forum that you guys should take this argument to.
 
Nope, Kevin James isn't very funny imo either. He's okay (and probably better at stand-up I'd guess) but we've reached the Look at me! I'm going to show a lot of energy which shows I'm trying real hard to be funny Dane Cook style of comedy era and quite frankly, it's pathetic. If you have to try to be funny, you almost never are.
