GAMETHREAD: Jazz hosting Warriors - 1/13 7pm (mst) ROOT

The Jazz are pretty low in APG at 20.2, just ahead of the Magic and Hornets, who at 20.1 are tied for 5th-worst in the league.

Not surprising. The pass often goes outside to a player who then takes - and MISSES - a 3 PT shot. Can't get assists on missed shots. Make a decent percentage of shots and the Jazz' assist totals go way up.

Yes, he'll force Curry, Thompson and Green to bomb away from beyond the arc, something the Jazz have been unable to defend.

Great. It still shows an affect on the game and how it is played. But I doubt it will happen at the start of the game. GSW will try to dominate the paint then move the game outside when that does not work. Look for 3s to increase as the game progresses, like they did with Houston the other night.

Kanter will be starting and Snyder says it's not fair for a player to lose his starting role because of an injury. I wonder long it will take for Gobert to get back there... We were so much better and fun to watch their. I think Favors and our other players played better with him out there too.

Bogut is expected to be back in the starting lineup after coming off the bench for his first couple of games back from injury. He's one of those tough, semi-dirty defenders that teams hate to play against.

Bogut was sent back to the hotel during shoot around because he got sick. Questionable for tonight.

Seriously sucks Kanter is starting tbh.

Rudy would have to play pretty much the entire game though to even give Utah the slightest chance to win, so it doesn't really matter much. The Warriors are our daddy. They will **** straight into our mouths for 48 minutes and then wipe the spittle from around our mouths with the bibs hanging around our necks.

Go Jazz!

I think moving Kanter back to starter role is the right thing to do. If everything goes the way it used to, Quin can take away his role with a lot more solid right then him getting injured and not being able to play. I bet he still sees limited minutes.

Enes Kanter will start on Tuesday night against Golden State, Jazz coach Quin Snyder announced after the team’s morning shootaround.

Kanter missed four games because of an ankle injury. Coming off the bench, he returned Saturday night at Houston and finished with 16 points and six rebounds in 21 minutes.

In Kanter’s absence, Rudy Gobert moved into the starting lineup and played well, fueling speculation Kanter might continue in a backup role.

According to Snyder, however, he has a different philosophy.

"If you’re hurt, you don’t lose your job," Snyder explained. "If you’re hurt, you don’t have a chance to compete."

Talk about putting philosophy in front of practicality.

Bad move by QS IMO.
