This was for an ESPN Magazine players only mock draft where NBA players made the picks for their teams.

Here's the page with Korver's pick:

The previous 8 picks were (for context):
1. Wall
2. Favors
3. Turner
4. W. Johnson
5. Cousins
6. Monroe
7. Aldrich
8. Aminu

Thought some of you may have found that interesting. Pretty clear the players know they need a presence inside defensively. Also interesting Korver is representing the Jazz considering he is a FA this offseason...

LOL. How do Kosta and Fess feel?

Here the Jazz have two big healthy centers and everyone, including their own teammates, are talking about drafting new players to (replace) them.

I was actually thumbing through this article today.

As far as Korver being the representative I don't think it means anything. I think the magazine was literally getting in contact with whatever players they could get to agree to appear. I mean, DaJuan Summers is representing the Pistons. I feel like I pay a lot of attention to the league and I don't know who that is.

The other interesting thing about the players mock draft was that, to a man, every player picked guys who they wouldn't have to beat out in the event they were drafted. This makes a certain amount of sense. Korver's job with the Jazz looks a lot more secure if the Jazz take Udoh than if they were to take Luke Babbitt for instance.

Other instances, where this came up: Thaddeus Young lobbying for Derrick Favors over Evan Turner (drafting Turner probably sends Young to the Bench unless Iggy is traded). Dejuan Summers lobbying for Cole Aldrich at #7 (Summers is probably barely holding onto an NBA job as it is, drafting a player at his position would probably get him released). Kevin Love, learning from GM David Kahn, picked three wing players.

Biggest WTF: Brandon Jennings selected "Tiny Gallon" with the #15 pick. Gallon isn't even a lock to get drafted as of this writing.

So Kicky, what you're trying to say is that current players probably aren't going to make the most accurate or sincere prediction on who their teams should draft in order to save their own jobs?

Whhhhhattt?

I too found this a little silly. However, it seems like everyone and their dog, has mentioned how the Jazz need to get longer, bigger, and more defensive inside. If Boom Bitches and Krispy Kreme don't get motivation out of this offseason, then I don't know what will motivate them...

Fess couldn't hear anything on the way to the bench with his 2nd foul in the first 4 minutes never to return

Koufus couldn't be reached for comment down in Orem. He was busy getting ready for the Flash season.

LOL.

Boom Bitches.

As they should...pathetic.

While I still think Fes performed as well as he could this year with the amount of exposure he got on the court, Doufos was absolutely, without a doubt, lame. I think it was either Kicky or GVC that was arguing with me on the potential of Doufos. I knew from day one that kid would turn out to be the pathetic, scared player he is. While he might be a fan favorite as a result of the exposure he got in that dance challenge on youtube, as a "big man" in the NBA he's garbage. Pure garbage.

Koufos was quite impressive his rookie season and appeared to improve significantly after a couple of games in the D-League last year (like I suggested the Jazz send him to all season). And he's what, 21 now and has barely been in the rotation? He gets another season before I write him off completely. Although he failed to impress me at all last season.

You keep telling yourself that. Also, in other news, when the Jazz are 100 percent healthy, they are championship contenders.

Koufos's upside to me is that of Greg Foster, perhaps. A guy that can come off the bench and maybe knock down a few mid range jumpers...not ever gonna be a starter IMO.
