The OP and this thread wreaks of those shamed and rejected by women who make threads like this to ease the pain.

Damn, I didn't know it was that obvious

People don't care about women getting raped? Who?
Everyone I know of thinks rape is the worst thing possible (other than maybe sexual assault of kids) and alot of people I know think that rapists should get the death penalty. I have heard that when a man goes to prison on rape convictions that they are usually targeted more fiercely than others.
I have heard many people say that if they could get thier hands a rapist that they would love to beat them to a bloody pulp and end thier life.

You think people don't get enraged by rape and don't get disturbed by it? I have found the exact opposite to be true

I didn't say people don't care about women getting raped. I didn't even remotely imply it. I said that I find it interesting that certain people will stay silent about it, and manifest no visible outrage, but mange to find their voice, and express their outrage for the relatively few cases in which women falsely accuse men of rape.

I'm curious as to what is it about false accusations that motivate these people to, finally, find their voice, while in the meantime, thousands of rapes occur, and they stay silent, or see no reason to speak up. I just find this to be an interesting and curious phenomenon. That's all.

Last time I checked people who are found guilty of rape get locked up for a really long time. People who falsely accuse people of rape, not so much.

It is possible to be outraged by more than one thing at a time.

Clearly those who have not devoted every fiber of their being to combat rape do not care enough about rape to justify commenting on anything other than how horrible rape is.

If that's confusing then you probably get my point.

And you clearly don't get my point. Quite simply, I find it interesting what gets people upset, and what it takes for them to speak up and express their opposition, outrage, etc. In this light, I find it interesting that someone is aware of and reads about the thousands upon thousands of sexual assaults/rapes that men perpetuate on women, yet they never bother to express any opinion on it, let alone comment about it on a message board, but then when they read about a woman falsely accusing a man of rape or sexual assault, that is what motivates them to speak up and to take to the message boards to express their outrage.

Kind of like how people may be aware of or read about the many, many injustices that blacks have suffered in this country without bothering to express any opinion on it, let alone their outrage, but the moment some white person is disadvantaged by some policy attempting to redress these injustices, suddenly they are filled with outrage and take to the discussion boards to give their outrage voice.

I'm well aware the people have to pick and choose the issues that they care about, and clearly they can't comment publicly on every issue, even the ones that about which they feel strongly (which seems to be your point)--time constraints alone require us to be selective--but I find it interesting what motivates people, who are heretofore silent on certain issues, to suddenly speak up, particularly when the issue outraging them is small relative to the overall injustice/harm related to that issue.

Please, as a favor to me and everyone else here, please point out where I've stated or suggested that presumption of innocence and normal evidentiary rules do not apply to cases of rape or sexual assault.

It makes me wonder whether you are purposively distorting what I've said or you're just being obtuse.

You think because I am against lieing about getting raped that I am wasting my time and instead should preach rape awareness and think about "all those silent woman who don't speak out against getting raped." Last time I checked rapest go to jail for a very long time. Everyone I know agrees that rape is bad and it is done amongst criminals. Yet those video I posted show woman who accuse other people of commeting a felony and get aware scott free. I think this is a huge issue that no one talks about. Just like the video you side step what I am talking about and talk about rape culture and bring up out of no wear the thousands of woman who are silent about getting raped. What does not reporting getting raped have to do with anything that I said? What you did is almost identical to what that woman did in the video in that aspect. You blame me for diverting attention away from rape being a crime. Honestly what you said is the most intellectually dishonest thing I have ever seen someone do on Jazzfanz do and you are the type of person I try to avoid in real life.

You are acting like a white knight. I bring up the issue and IMMEDIATELY on the first page of the thread has multiple people quickly jump on the "oh, don't talk about that, talk about how woman are getting raped." Can't I make a post about how sometimes men are the victim too? Do I have to immediately be accused of "being silent of rape."
