Golden State visits the Holy Jazz - An Official Game Thread

Proabably a lot of times since Al had something like 2 assists and 1,6 blocks per game when he was playing here. Derrick his averaging a career high of a total of 3 assists and blocks per game.

Derrick Favors rocks, but that doesn`t mean that we should do everyting to make him look better than he is when he is going through a rough patch.
Point taken: Jefferson was a better shotblocker than I remembered. He's averaging 0.8 assists this season. Favors is at 1.4 so not a huge difference. But the offense absolutely STOPPED when AJ got the ball. Hold the ball and make several ball fakes right and left for an up-and-under or throw it back out and demand the ball get thrown back to him to start all over. And a lot of times he would then turn into a double-team.

Jefferson is averaging 49% FG this season and gets to the line only 3x per game. Favors is at 54% and nearly 5 FT's/per.
Favors: 661 pts on 496 FG attempts = 1.33 pts per shot
Jefferson: 645 pts on 587 FG attempts = 1.09 pts per shot

"I've got goose downs!"
Fixed.

Also, I have been driving a limo for comic con and Sundance. I drive that Jaime lannister guy around last night. And Matt smith from doctor who. And a girl from doctor who. And some famous actor who looked like heath ledger, only not dead.

Yup. Noone in their right mind would want Big Al instead of Derrick. Even though he is going through a rough patch right now, Favors has been fantastic this year. I wonder if the personal day he took in Milwaukee (?) is still affecting his performance?

As I said I didn`t watch the game, but looking at the box score, did Enes really affect the game as positively as it looks? Even though he didn`t make many shots, he grabbed 10 rebounds and had a very positive +- in his limited minutes.

Credit to trey tonight. Seven assists. And he's not complaining about coming of the bench. I really like his attitude about the situation.

I hope so. Id like to see a big jump from him next year. He looks good on D, but I expected a little more out of him this year. I knew he was a project but I'd like to see a few wow plays every now and again.

His defense and quickness still wows me, but I get what you are saying.

What a great *** kicking. The Jazz just whipped the Warriors in every facet of the game tonight. It was great to watch.

And if you don't like Booker on this team, **** off. This guy is the missing link of passion/energy this team has desperately needed. Every game he's into it, and seems to give a damn out there.

He was still a big problem in the 4th quarter. At one point he shot a somewhat contested 20 footer with 20 seconds still on the shot clock and other times in the fourth where he bogged down the offense.

Thought I had during the game. I starteded to think maybe Ingles could be the next Wes Matthews. Wes came in and wasn't very offensive but was a spark plug and played great defense. Ingles offense was none existent to start the year but like Wes with defense, ingles came in and we could see he was a good playmaker and spark plug for this team, and like Matthews his offense is starting to come around some and he's starting to look like a real nba player on offense, and while his defense isn't great it's not bad either. I could see him being a long term starter on the team.

It's probably easy to think he's not going to get much better then he is now, but that's what most thought of Wes after Portland offered him a deal that the jazz felt was too much money. I think ingles will continue to improve just as Matthews did.

I know Dante has this reputation of being soft in his offensive game, but I've noticed something when he fights for position or to deny a pass he really hustles and tries hard, especially when he gets switched to a bigger guy. I've seen him numerous times on the low block trying to deny the pass to a much bigger opponent. Here's a situation from today's game where he simply refused to be walked over by Bogut and even boxed(pushed) him out of the way under the rim so Favors can get the rebound:

I love that... I wish he had more of those kinds of moments in offense, where he showed determination and physical play when going to the rim ...
