Rex is a big wuss though. Really smart, athletic, healthy, good dog. But a big time wuss.Dude, I love this pic. I may have said it before but your dog reminds me of Mel Gibson's dog in The Road Warrior.
We took him in because my brother in law called us and said that there was a dog that had been living in the hills at the base of the mtns where his (my bro in law) farm is located and it had been out there for about a week and he thought the dog might die
He knows how big of a dog lover I am so he knew i would come and take a look.
So I got the dog to come close enough that I could pick him up and get him to the farm. He was starving to death, all his ribs were sticking out of his body and he was losing his fur and was stinking and mangy.
I took him home and for weeks he wouldn't let us touch him and he would hide from us and was scared of everything (tv, fridge, ceiling fan, etc etc)
We found bb's under his skin from where someone had shot him with thier bb gun.
I honestly didn't want to keep him but I couldn't bare to let him go either.
It took a long long time before he started to be a normal dog. I remember when we would give him food or water in his bowls, he would intentionally tip them over before eating or drinking.
I'm so glad I didn't give up on him... He is my best friend now and I don't know what I would do without him
