He doesn't suck. He's an above average backup. The chances of us getting a player of his quality with our new draft pick are very, very low.

Even if this is better than getting nothing, it's still a bad trade. Absolutely terrible value. I'm not sure what DL was thinking here, but he screwed this one up.
Someone also fill me in on why we're getting excited about free agents because of this move. How has anything changed? Renounce Kanter and we're in the same situation. The only thing we've lost is the ability to use Kanter as a bargaining piece. Buy high (trading Deron) and sell low (for "cap space"?)
