When it comes to the Lakers, Sloan is either a trained seal or a baby seal about to be clubbed: helpless and clueless.
If he does have a clue, that's grounds for being fired. We're talking Falcon and the Snowman treason here.
But honestly, there's an insanity with the way this team is run. At least against LA. How many games, how many years, and Sloan won't shift the gameplan to a noticeable or credible degree. It's clear that the Lakers' length, athleticism, and familiarity with Utah's offense makes that same basepoint a non-starter: over and over they break up passing lanes, overwhelm Utah's "bigs", and simply make a mockery, a funhouse mirror, out of the words "utah" and "execution".
They're hanging people up the road.
Get out and run. This has been shown as key to any type of chance against LA for quite awhile now. But Sloan has no interest, because it would imply something negative about the system and, thus, him.
As if being another coach's bitch says anything positive.

Fits that ubiquitous definition of insanity where one does the same thing ad nauseam while still expecting different results each time.
What a dreadful boxscore. I turned off the game before halftime thinking we'd at least make the final score respectable. Just a garbage team. Overhaul it and bring in Jeffy Vany Gundy for F's sake.

Enough with the Boozer nonsense. We were always destroyed by LA with him. Had Boozer been resigned, we would have lost by at least 40 with him sitting behind our bench in a suit.

The beginning of the game started with the usual banter among us opposing fans. Talking **** and stuff. Once the 2nd quarter started, the laker fans went quiet. None of them said anything. They were blown away at how bad the Jazz played. They just kept saying over and over, "Man." One of them went so far as to say they felt bad for the Jazz.
Did anyone see that cut to Sloan on the bench in the 4th? I could swear it looked like Sloan was shaking...not like he was angry but like he had alzheimers. I am not trying to troll. It was towards the end of the game. Could the Jazz front office and team be keeping this under wraps?
