The film is obviously different because it always wanted to be. I don't see much point in comparing them, but I will say that I ****ing love the film's ending more than any peak moment of the novels.
I watched Warfare last night. I'm an Alex Garland fan, so I had to get to this eventually. I think we all consume enough violence—over and over, ritualistically—that this film becomes almost our responsibility to watch.
