catching up on cameron carr. somebody said he's definitely on the venn diagram of guys who can jump and shoot and that is right. it will be interesting to see what he does when they stop playing nobodies. he had a nice 16 v washington, but couldn't keep himself out of foul trouble. and...
wow. 17 and 6 on excellent efficiency. definitely a guy to keep an eye on. i guess the main question with him is whether he can continue to get to the line at a crazy rate and if he can't, is he good enough without it.
crazy that he has spent the heart of his prime age 25-28 where he has been absolutely elite on a ****** team with no direction. seems like that would be incredibly depressing.
contrarian cy is the best cy. dybantsa just put an efficient 25 on the #2 ranked team in cfb and that's when he decides dybantsa isn't a top 3 pick.
but i get it. there are enough byu fans on here that it would be pretty fun and quite tempting to go against grain as it relates to aj.
to me that was jalen johnson the year before last. there were some indications he might be special (and Lauri was two years younger), but it was still a risk for the team taking him because he wasn't anything to write home about yet.
the only way you get a guy like that is by taking a pretty...
wiggins hadn't played an nba game making it nothing like Castle, perhaps a little like Harper. but all it takes is for a guy to look great in their own jersey and the coaches and front office become enamored and they over value already valuable commodities.
it's a lot easier to trade a guy...
I'm not even going to say you're wrong. but 20 yo dudes of Castle's caliber (i mean, we're talking about a near 20 and 8, 6'6" elite athlete PG in his second season, who is a legit defender - those guys don't come around every day - as fish said, Harper might be more realistic than Castle and...
my dude is averaging 19, 6 and 8 - in his second season following up his ROY season - and he's a plus defender who can defend at least 3 positions. that's a pipe dream.
yup we are officially in that no-man's land where Lauri is a lot better and means more to us, than he can command from other teams. it would take a Harper type deal (or Ausar and a couple firsts) for the Jazz to move him and the Spurs/Pistons simply won't do that.
basically he's impossible...
i haven't read this thread much, but this class is absolutely insane. any one of AJ, Peterson or Boozer could very easily fall out of the top 3, even top 5 - and they've all been great. this class is that good.
