Factor in the money he will command. Hey if the jazz want to continue to be what they have been since the Malone/Stockton era or what the Atlanta hawks have been then go ahead. Waste money paying Gordon second option money when he's clearly third at best as well as Marvin a good chunk of...
Needs to let Marvin go, he's good enough but we have to rebuild and give the young guys/draft picks the minutes and go from there. Too many teams have one foot in tend one foot out by keeping/playing a older player who puts up numbers and sitting/barely playing the young kid with potential. That...
Not surprised when you look at both groups. You could tell that the first group were guys you might bring in as free agents/summer League and the second were guys you might draft/bring in after the combine to workout against 1st rounders
He must have been talking about the weds workouts because a couple of players from the thurs workout are expected to go second round. Plus just heard from someone who was there that their were two players from today's workout that the jazz very very interested in. He wouldn't tell me who but...
The jazz have drafted a good amount of guys they have had come in for recombine workouts. For some reason people think of you don't go to the combine you don't get drafted. There are plenty of guys who get combine invites every year that end up not getting drafted. The most important thing is...
As far as measurements, these guys have been measured in the past year when they played in the u19 tournaments. Saric was measured as 6'10 but with the same wingspan as his height
Exum was 6'6 with a 6'9.25 wingspan
I doubt he's as good as those guys or better. With all the scouting that has been done I would think he would be a top 3 prospect if he was. Doesn't mean he isn't since anything is possible but I doubt it. Also he's not playing in Spain or one of the other top leagues, the talent level in his...
That's one of the few things they will do. Lotto picks do the athletic tests, they just don't do any of he drills for he most part. Lillard was one of the few who did everything
Sorry but Hayward is only a AllStar in our "jazz fans" minds. Allstars don't miss the game because they are misused. He's a third option at best on a good team. We've seen what he can do as a number one option on a bad team
Did you read what I said? You're argument reads like I said Trey was going to become a AllStar instead of what I said which was " a pretty good point guard"
I'm just not seeing thing potential or the Spurs type potential with this team that other jazz fans see, actually it seems that only jazz fans see that while non jazz fans see Atlanta at best ( not bad enough for lotto but not good enough to get past the second round). We have some good players...
True but in this draft you can get the same player at 35 or 23 that you can get at 16. Every player after the top 5-7 are pretty much the same as far as impact IMO. Of course they will separate as their careers unfold but at this point they don't really separate from each other when you go down...
With all the talent in is draft I don't see anyway they can move up. No one is going to trade their top 5 picks for later picks. They could trade the 23rd and second round pick for a late lotto though
