The biggest thing going for Philly is that is where Jrue would love to be. Hopefully NOLA could take all of Philly's draft assets but damn, that Philly team would be nasty.

The Miami pick is really juicy... their pick is similar to ours. I think Fultz has more intrigue than Exum (just a guess... there is more baggage there too). Just the 2 picks are enough to trump our deal... they could also get Smith in their. Maybe they wouldn't... but they should imo.
 
Lakers are going for the AD/Lebron/Kyrie core... Kyrie would have to take slightly less than the max... but literally everything for the Lakers could or would need to go. Wagner, Hart, Bonga, Svi (unguaranteed so maybe he doesn't have to go) plus all the "good" stuff - Kuzma, Ball, Ingram...

If it happens there is some interesting spare parts that could be had for cheap... will be interesting. Like what if Kuzma or Ingram become available for a spare first? Hart plus Wagner for a first (to send to NO)... Bonga, Svi for seconds (maybe for LA to keep).

It's gonna be frickin crazy.

Philly can beat our offer for sure.

That is pretty much putting the entire Philly team together though. They wouldn't have money to add to that core of Simmons, Embiid, Butler, Jrue and Redick.

Would Philly sacrifice any other future addition just to get Jrue?

What makes it even more complicated is that KCP has a no trade clause. And supposedly, he would not okay a trade to NOLA. So that means all those little contracts have to be traded and NOLA only has so many roster spots they can open up in order to complete a trade.

Would they trade Rondo or Stephenson to make it work financially or combine all those Wagner, Bonga, Hart, Zubac guys to a 3rd team to make the trade more possible?

They still have all their future picks (beyond the 2019 pick they sent) and could use BAE and minimums to fill out the bench... This isn't an all in for them... would still have some ability to move around. They also have a million seconds... some are quite good too.

I was talking about luring free agents. Remember, the Philly plan after getting Butler was to keep him AND sign another big free agent. If they get Jrue, that dream dies because Jrue becomes that 4th big player.

That might be fine, but a backcourt of Ben, Jrue and Butler might come across some spacing issues.

They should trade Butler for Jrue but they'd never do that. Jrue as their 3rd guy makes so much more sense than Butler does and he's much lower maintenance.

I'm not sure how realistic that plan is/was... would have to dump Fultz for no salary, waive JJ's caphold, trade their pick, and still not quite to a max.

Making the trade would leave them with MLE, Jrue, and JJ (most likely)... can do a lot from there. Maybe they won't go that far though.

Its been noted a few times that Philly could have close to max money if they resigned Butler, renounced JJ and traded Fultz. Embiid and Simmons combine to make only $35 million next year. The salary cap will be $109 million. After Fultz, their next biggest contract is Zhaire Smith at $3 million.

If NOLA waits until the off-season to trade AD, what will they do with the roster between now and then? Will they even try to win games? Will they likely trade Mirotic prior to the deadline? Would it make any sense to keep any of their expiring players?

I really hope they trade him before the deadline. The constant rumors and talk of LA/Boston will be miserable.

Pelicans fans said this hurt more than AD requesting a trade because of how much they love Holiday. They said he's more beloved than AD.

Jazz aint getting in on AD or the parts. Best hope is Parker getting a buyout and agreeing to join the Jazz on a discount deal.

Pelican fans do love Jrue. Maybe they keep him if Lonzo goes to a 3rd team.

Would Orlando give a 1st for Lonzo? He would also seem to fit well in Phoenix...

I actually really hope they don't trade him until the summer. If they trade him before the deadline he's likely going to the Lakers but if they wait until the offseason he's likely going to the Celtics. The last thing the Jazz need is another super team in the western conference.
 
I like Ball getting out in front and pre-requesting a trade from NO... Lavar playing chess...

Unless the Celtics offer tell them they’d do Tatum I would prolly just do the Lakers offer.

The other offer to wait for would be if NY won the lotto and traded the #1 pick... but I’ll bet they see Zion and be like uhhh you know what... we’re good.

I’d just try and scare the crap out of LA and get The Godfather offer... Kuzma Ingram Ball 3 firsts and any of hart or Wagner if they want it... I’m taking everything.
