What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

The way Myers Leonard is looking I'd rather give him 20 million a year over Flavors.

Yes, we’re going to bring back Favors, waive and stretch Korver, then use the MLE on Alex Burks. With what’s left over, try to sign Rondo. We’re also going to sell our second round pick and draft a traditional big man in the first round because we’ve got an edge on advanced analytics.
Im gonna bookmark this....see how close you are.

Not resigning Rubio would be the biggest mistake we make this off-season! Replacing him will cost us 3 times the money and we'd get less production in return! We need to resign him at even his cost and then move on to finding a couple of decent outside shooters. We won 50 games last year and we won't start off nearly as pathetic as we did then. 55-60 wins will give us home court throughout the playoffs and if we need to make a trade we can do it before the deadline next year!

Leonard doesn't make us better in any meaningful way and will cost $11m. Consensus amongst Blazers fans is that he's a nice guy, but lacks basketball instincts and is simply not very good on court.

If our big acquisition is getting Myles Leonard this off season, then it was a failed off season.

Today I feel we should get Julius Randle. He is a high end talent that plays hard and is a freaking man on the court. He would add more offense to the team and even started shooting the 3 this year (.344). I know his defense isn't good, but he is such a dog on the court that I bet he could improve. Let's add some talent and grit.

He’s not good... but is a serviceable backup... I’d take him if we got a first too. Another example of why you don’t pay bigs unless they are elite.

We could seem to get Leonard. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ady-make-biggest-commitment-franchise-history

"The Blazers may try to ease their salary situation by moving Meyers Leonard, who's had some moments in these playoffs, but they've been trying that one for years now and no one has been too interested."

To me, he is like Olynyk. Both are guys I would trade for should we lose Favors.

I should’ve known this was coming. Lol, Leonard has one good game and now we can count him on the long list of players LoPo wants to trade for. Yesterday @LoPo said he wanted to resign Favors to a 12million $ a year deal, now he wants to bring in a bench warmer at 11million a year. LoPo has an impulse problem

I guess you don't read real good now do you?

I said if we lose Favors. If we don't get a quality backup for Gobert, I have concerns.

When I mention a player, that doesn't mean that player is the priority. It also doesn't mean that I would give a bunch of assets for said player. All I'm saying is that I could see us having interest in Leonard depending on how everything shakes out.
