This ^ makes me very happy. Not that I don’t think Portis has potential and upside - but I’d much rather have the sure thing (UFA) locked up than having to wait to see if a team will match a contract offer sheet.
Plus, Favors > Portis. I can live with them getting Bogdanovic and letting Favors go if they must. Imo, wings are more valuable than bigs in most instances.
Still think that the goal should be to KEEP Favors and still addd Conley and Bogdanovic. That would be a masterful offseason.

They should just burn this version of the team down to the foundation and start over. Look to get off those terrible contracts and start building around your young guys.

except they make super poor judgement on young players. giving big contracts to young players like MKG and Zeller that are role players at their best. the only gamble they made correctly was resigning Kemba while he was still struggling mightily with his efficiency. the rest simply ended horrendously
Just wait til Jarrell Brantley comes in and starts kicking everyone's ***. Then we'll be set.

I don't think they are getting him to be Kemba. They are getting him because he costs $20 million less than super max Kemba. And Rozier is only 25.
The Hornets will obviously suck it up this year as Biyombo, Marvin and MKG expire. They will play Bridges and PJ Washington as much as possible. If they can bring back Lamb, they will rely on him too.
They will absolutely suck this year, but things could look up as soon as next year.
He could conceivably be like Paul Millsap. He has more of a handle and better shooting touch than Millsap did when he came into the league.

Durant, Kawhi, Butler, Kemba, Kyrie, Horford all need to go/stay in the East. If the Lakers pickup Russell as their max FA that would be great for us. That would be a lot less scary than any of the other top players going there.
