What's new

Utah Jazz Basketball

I agree with the slam dunk play. I like Gobert because he slam dunks it, and he doesn't let others slam dunk it.

I like Joe because he smiles a lot and says funny things to the other players to make them mad. Oh, I just remembered, he is funny too.

I like Snyder because people say he looks scary, and then when he smiles he looks really scary.

I will watch for the Niang shorts grab, it does sound amusing. Is it creepy to watch for a shorts grab? Are we allowed to have 2 slow unathletic but effective players on our team?

I think the Jazz will win 55 games this year. What do you think?

I enjoy those things too. I think the Niang shorts grab is funny because he is clearly touching his penis. Not sure it is creepy but maybe homo-erotic. I will say he does it so much you don't really need to look for it.

Jazz will win many games. 55 seems like a good number... it could be 54, 53, maybe 56, 57. One thing I know is they will play 82 regular season games.

I tried. It kept being stupid through the 20th minute, so I walked away.

I think that was where I got too... some guys lean too hard on cussing and being overly edgy to make up for the fact they aren't that funny. There was certainly nothing in there that would lead me to say "you need to watch that" to anyone.

How many playoff games will the Jazz win this year? I hope 16, but I think they have a good chance at 8-11.

Shouldn’t basketball be called hoop ball or rim ball. They don’t shoot at peach baskets or any kind of a basket. Now there are basket cases that play hoopball

Having consensual sex is much easier than rape with a torn ACL, I'd imagine. If you fail to recognize this is very possible, then I don't know what to say.

I believe in innocent until proven guilty. The facts that are public make the allegations hard to believe, from what I know.

If he's guilty, is proven guilty or is guilty and proven innocent, I still condemn sexual assault to the highest extent.

Why are you so prone to believe her and not him?
This is tricky though, because if your assumption is that he is innocent that means that you believe her claim is false, thus she is guilty of making a false accusation. Why is she not afforded the same benefit of presumed innocence?

In any case, presumed innocence is integral to our justice system, but less valuable I think when it comes to simple discourse about potential criminal acts.

As for why people are more prone to believe her than him, it's likely due to the overwhelming occurence of sexual assault and rape in our society, and the comparative rarity of false claims.

Anyway, I think the Jazz basketball is good. There will be a lot of exciting games this year. Dante Exum might become a power forward which is really cool and surprising. I'm very much looking forward to seeing Ed Davis' fundamentally sound box outs, and Georges Niang's incredible dunks. Should be fun.

I like this Jazz court.

Good question. Just like basketball keeps the name from when it was shot at baskets, the Jazz keep their name even though they don't live in jazz anymore.

Not sure... the playoffs are held at the end of the season and the 8 teams with the best records from each conference get to participate.

I'm not throwing stones and saying she's 100% lying. If you read about it and put two and two together though, it certainly looks bad for her.

Saying that she's made a false accusation is hardly disgusting nor does belittle those who have been. Famous people are often targets or extortion. Let it play out in the legal system.

Hitting a woman until she is compliant is still rape, so rape is no more difficult than consensual sex for a professional athlete.

I believe in innocent until proven guilty.

So, you believe the woman is innocent of the charge of filing a false police report, until proven guilty, and that she really was raped? Or, do you only believe the men are innocent until proven guilty?

Why are you so prone to believe her and not him?

Because women making false accusations have a lot to lose from so doing.

Thanks, Captain Obvious.

Yes. I believe the woman should be able to file a police report and receive the due process and justice.

Do I only believe men are innocent until proven guilty? You're an idiot for making that assumption. Smdh.

She has has a lot to gain. Just like the accuser of AB who was looking for a settlement multiple times before it became public.

Again. **** rapists. **** false accusers. They both exists.

Thanks, Captain Obvious.

So, are now done with the 'Porzingis was too injured' stupidity?

Yes. I believe the woman should be able to file a police report and receive the due process and justice.

If you believe she is innocent, than Porzingis would be guilty.

If he's innocent, than she is guilty of filing a false report.

I'm saying you have to believe either is innocent, but it's not tenable that both are innocent.

I'm not going to tell a guy to get hit by a train and get triggered because he thinks he didn't rape her after he tore his ACL. Apparently, you are.

If you believe she is innocent, than Porzingis would be guilty.
That's not what I'm saying. Please go back and read.

One of them is guilty. I don't know who. They are both innocent until proven guilty.

I'm saying you have to believe either is innocent, but it's not tenable that both are innocent.

Let the due process work its magic.
