The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

Bahahahaha!!!

I’m one of those elitists with all that education and geography and words. It’s so fitting that this happened today. Remember earlier this week when trump nation became enraged at Rick Wilson and Don Lemon?

Trunp nation probably still can’t figure out why we’re all laughing that Trump gave congrats to the state of Kansas.

I hope this serves as a lesson to Kansas and Missouri voters. Trump clearly doesn’t care about them. His ignorance and lack of curiosity is a liability to our great nation.

just imagine if obama or Hillary had done that... they’d have been impeached

God I just wish trump didn't exist

No connection from me in regards to the GOP/ Republicans/conservatives.

My beef is with Trump and trump alone

AD was answering a question. It is not even a little bit unusual for the speaker in such a situation to make assumptions in his wording and not realize until later that clarification is needed. It is legitimately insane to ignore the clarification.

You do understand the questions was from a republican senator and fully advance coordinated with prepared responses, right?

It was immediately clear what EVERYONE “interpreted” his words to mean. And I say “interpreted” in quotes because everyone thought the words meant exactly what they clearly and literally meant.

Particularly notable is the fact that he chose to not clarify to the senate. He clarified to Fox News in an attempt to redeem his reputation, after being called out by knowledgeable and rational people across the political spectrum including constitutional experts.

yet here you are believing hannity.

Maybe you ought to take a look at the actual quote in context before you make a claim that is so easy to refute.

If you don't think the questions Republican Senators asked were shared with the President's defense counsel beforehand, and probably contributed to by them, you are hopelessly naive or willfully blind. Everything in the two question-and-answer days was carefully prepared and staged. Even Paul knew his questions using the names of the whistle blower would not be read (although I don't think Roberts cooperated in that, it was clear from the rules).

Trump and Russia(you guys)- " this is rigged, this is bad, I'm crying over a conspiracy!!! 3 year investigation!!"

DNC and Bernie 2015- "let's sweep this rigging under the rug, we are ok with the DNC 100% rigging"

DNC and Bernie 2019-
Main stream media and the DNC- "hey idiots we are blatantly, right in front of your face, openly rigging this election again. Look over there though sheep, Trump said something we're going to take out of context."

You guy(robotic voice)- "yes master... rigging is fine... we love rigging... Trump bad... Master good"

This.

Trumpers do the same thing with Trump. Trump will literally say something that he obviously means, will get criticized for it, and then Trumpers will be like oh it was out of context or he didn't really mean it.

Trumpers ability to excuse bad behavior is probably the thing they are best at

I am believing Dershowitz because his explanation makes perfect sense. It is ridiculous that you are so determined to hold him to an interpretation of his words that obviously makes so much less sense than his clarification. People misspeak, they clarify, we move on.

Oh brother. You are smarter than this, Fish. You really think it makes sense to hold AD to an interpretation of his words that nobody would see as a sensible statement when he immediately clarifies his meaning in a way that even those on the other side of the impeachment argument say, "Well yeah, I agree with that." If anyone made this sort of a misstatement and it had nothing to do with Trump you would accept the obvious clarification and move on.

Here's the thing, we're talking about a guy who made an argument in his book- "The Case Against Impeaching Trump" that if Russia were to attempt to retake Alaska in the same way they are currently trying to take Crimea (that is via invasion) and an American president simply sat by and allowed it allowed it to happen, that president could not be impeached for it.

Dershowitz is full of arguments that no sensible person should find reasonable.

You missed the point of my post.
I was saying that I see this ALL THE TIME from Trumpers. He and his people can do no wrong in the eyes of the trumper. Ever.

So, you're saying you're not smart enough to remember that some of us have complained about how Sanders gets treated?

I was not aware of this. If true, I agree with you that is not a reasonable argument. Do you have a link to the original text?
