Udoka has another year on his deal and I’m sure he’s a slightly negative value. In the right situation you may snag a second for Hassan. Boston actually might want him in the deal the internet is trying to make happen

That's exactly my feeling. So I think we should.

Nah...Whiteside might not even play in some certain playoff series, but I'd rather have his value now than a distant second. As bad as things are right now, we will likely not have a better chance at winning a championship in the next....how many years? Likely decades.

That's a liquid asset though; could help in a trade right now. I also don't think Hassan has any of the attributes off the court that we need and those lacking attributes are a huge part of the problem (I don't think he's some huge negative in that regard, just we need all the help we can get).

Sure, if we use that pick to get better this year I'm all in. I'm willing to dump everything into this season because it's our last/best shot.

That Doka pick was so so soooo bad. If we take Bane and then Hebert this year… look at how different our team looks. ****

Even though Bane seemed so obvious, I'm sympathetic to draft misses. It really is a crap shoot and I try not to look at things with hindsight 20/20.

With that said, the right move at the time would have been to trade that pick for future picks and put it on pause. Would have allowed us to duck the tax and saved us a lot of pain in the future.

But Dok was the #2 prospect on their entire draft board, or so they said after the draft.

I don’t think I’ve ever been more upset with a draft pick in my life. The Trey Burk pick is a close second, really wanted CJ in that draft. The jazz either do really good in the draft or do as bad as you can. The bad, drafting Burke when they could’ve had CJ or Greek Freak. Jazz pick Dok over Bane. If you want to go way back, selling the #1 pick that became Magic or trading Wilkins draft rights, but we’ve also had gems like trading for both Mitchell and Gobert, I think Butler will be a good player if Quin ever just feels like giving him minutes. Also John and Karl weren’t bad, lol, Millsap in round two was genius. Ok I’m done now.

Doke in that first half against Hou has a net neutral value. Doke in that second half has a net negative value.
