Greg Monroe signs 10 day contract

We definitely need another center with Dok out for the season and Whiteside missing games here and there. Having said that, Monroe sucks.

The guy is a war horse. Taken ahead of Haywood in the draft, the same draft that produced Favors and Boogie. Had a couple of other 10 days with other teams this season.

If Ainge wants to get real passive-aggressive, he should be dialing up Withey or Exum.
 
I'll be positive and say the dude can still rebound. Having said that it's a random signing and it'll be weird as heck seeing Monroe in a Jazz uniform.

His rebounding numbers for a big man (based on what we’re used to) are a little weak. When I first heard we signed him I had your same thought. Then I realized I was confusing him with Drummond.
 
good luck to him!! he will pick up the offense quicker than most, he's built for this type of thing QS runs.. Tough lefty who can pass the ball better than youd expect if uve never seen him play a lot

I looked at his 2017 stats (since the past few years he's been limited, game-wise) and he had 6.3 boards in 19 minutes and 8.o in 23 minutes with the Suns. I think that's solid. Not bad on the offensive boards either. Aside from that, I am not super excited. But it looks like he's down to be a team player:

He's a good post playmaker.
 
Jazz need another backup center with Dok out
Had to sign someone
Sometimes Gobert and Whiteside may be out
