His problem is that he made his bread by playing a very limited role and focusing on exclusively role player attributes. He has a fear of going outside that (which is honestly one of his best attributes). Royce is one of the most fascinating players in the NBA to me for that reason. I dont think any wing in the NBA plays within himself as much as Royce does.

I feel a little better because unlike other leads we got this one by defending and driving it into the paint…. Rather than just hitting an unsustainable amount of threes.

I’m still nervous we don’t stay locked in or we go hero mode… but the energy has been consistent first half. Missed shots and made some unforced errors.
 
Jazz still shooting sub 30% from 3, have missed half their FT's, and have 6 turnovers (though that isnt too bad).

Hopefully we get an explosion in the 3rd and give us a comfortable lead to half blow in the 4th so we dont lose.

It seemed like he was on the verge of leveling up his offense a few years ago, but it just didn’t happen. Glad to see him playing with more confidence tonight.
 
We keep attacking the paint and it’s working. We’re aggressive and not letting the defense set. Maybe we’ve finally “figured out” the Mavs.

It’s weird… it’s like giving different looks instead of the same **** is confusing them a little. Who would have guessed.

Actually thought this year has been his best offensive year. People forget but early in the year he was doing really well in transition and he would make a ton of lefty layups in traffic.

He's kind of like Exum in that he has ZERO in-between game, so I think he just kind of feels anxiety with the basketball, but when he knows he just has to get to the rim he can make some decent moves.
 
Jazz were up by 12 at halftime in Game 4 and blew the lead immediately to start the 2nd half.

Hopefully this time around we push it to 20+.
 
This is some of the best basketball we have played… great to see.


I think I know what happened… clearly Keyon was sabotaging our game plans and selling info to the Mavs.
