Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Dude I could ask a random on the street and they’d give better answers than you. You constantly go over the deep end with dumbass predictions that never come true.
Cool story.

I make predictions, they are fun and I stand by them.

I dont argue with every poster and call them a dumbass because they got their Bogey prediction wrong, which everyone did. How do you get off on being this lame about predictions?

I don’t argue with every poster about their Bogey prediction only you because you say the dumbest **** and it’s hilarious how wrong you are on every topic but act like you’re the smartest guy in the room.

Dude also said Donovan wasn’t getting traded and was confident as hell about it too. I don’t know how someone can be this confidently wrong about everything. It’s truly amazing and hard to do.

Also, nothing has even been reported Lonzo is on the trading block. The Bulls know what they have and they probably arent at that point yet.
I mean you don't put your house on sale as its on fire...

They might not bite on Mike for Lonzo... they likely want to see how the surgery turns out (just an fyi every knee surgery is declared a successful surgery immediately after the procedure). They may not have even a Mike for Lonzo deal available if the surgery causes a prolonged absence.

There also likely aren't teams beating down their door trying to buy low... presenting them with a get out of jail solution might be appealing.

Within NBA circles there are legitimate concerns that Lonzo is done. Hasn't been cleared and the docs have no idea what's going on with the knee.

If he were on the block the Bulls wouldn't get anything of value for him right now.

Teams are lining up to give up picks for him he’s the best non-all-star player in the league.

IDK if I'm the smartest, but I'm definitely not on your level of Lopo-esque douchebaggery

I'm only in on the idea if its discounted appropriately. They might not be willing to discount it until after the surgery... but at that point they would only be interested if it wasn't resolved... at that point they will need to attach stuff to him just to dump him or ride it out.

Do you keep your list of my incorrect predictions on your bedside table by your lotion and tissues?

The crazy part is Cy and I would be good friends in real life but on the internet he’s a next level douche.
It's cute that you like me so much that the moment I start saying douche as an insult, you decide to also use it. Imitation is truly the best form of flattery.

Also, Kelly Olynyk to Boston could be a thing in the future (when is KO able to be traded again?).

With Robert Williams being out for a while and Gallinari being out for the year, it would kind of fill two needs for them at once.

They can trade their 2025 1st rounder, which might be too rich for them. Sadly they dont have any good young rookie contract type assets. Not sure how a deal would workout, but I'd imagine theyd be interested.

He can be traded any time. He just cannot get aggregated with other players into a trade for 2 months.

Boston is going to be a tough trade fit in part because of salary.

Not to go back to the maelstrom but:

If the Bulls are trading Lonzo, it’s cuz they think he’s busted. So yeah, not sending assets for that. The value being swapped is present value (an NBA basketball player that can be really good, and saving them at least ~$20-30 million real dollars) for a CHANCE at future value.

I make that trade straight across, I’m not attaching ****.

Trading for Ball is a really, really bad idea. That kind of thing almost never works out. The only exceptions I can think of are Curry and Embiid. Those 2 compared with dozens going the other way.

That being said, if you could get him for something like the Philly pick and Conley you have to do it. We are the Utah Jazz and need to make our own luck. Nobody is giving us a high pick in a draft that matters, we aren't getting a FA we don't overpay. We have to take risks other teams don't.

I make the offer, leave it open for a specified time, and when and if that offer expires I move on with my life. The more certainty the Bulls get the better chance we get screwed.

Yeah, anyone saying they wouldnt do it for matching vet salary and the Philly pick is out of their mind. I'm OK with people being against the Philly and Minny pick, but just giving up one for a gamble is well worth it.
