2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

I'm definitely not a Uconn fan, but I've watched quite a few of their games this year and they have been fun to watch. They are really balanced, play both sides of the ball, play a a team, and are just really well coached.

Also, I need Castle to stay in the Jazz draft range. I'm feeling uncomfortable with all the love he's getting.

I dont think UConn is beatable.

Gonna need to trade up methinks. No one has really popped and he be popping. Just the type of player that fits well almost anywhere. Unless he hits the vape or his coach talks **** about him I think he’s gonna rise.

On my draft board which is highly reactionary… I think Castle is #3.

I must be watching a different game. Watching castle feels a lot like watching sensabaugh play in the g league. Castle isn’t creating separation. He is just overpowering guys. And sensabaugh can shoot.

Yeah I think you are lol. I’m watching a guy who got 16/11/2 on 8 shots while playing great defense and not forcing anything.

Given the lack of standout prospects in this year draft should that make it easier to move up for a player we like? Or do we think come draft day a few prospects may have separated themselves from the others and it will similar to most draft where higher picks cost a premium.

The shooting is real with George, he's got a few moves off the dribble, and he's a good ball mover. But he really needs to get with a training staff and work on his strength and explosiveness. He gets up okay off of two feet, but hardly elevates off one foot, even on fairly open layups. He's well coached coming from Europe, but hasn't worked much on his body.

I think it depends on the situation and who ends up picking where. I don't think a team like Detroit, Washington or San Antonio will want to move off their pick. They've been tanking all year for this, such as it is. However, I could see some shuffling starting around #5.
