ESPN Bet Sets Jazz O/U at 28.5

I’d go under. I think. Young guys should get more playing time than last season. And there is a decent likelihood that Lauri or Sexton are traded.

That number is with those guys on the team though. If we trade Lauri or sexton then the number will change too
So do you think we are over or under if we don't trade anyone?

Not exactly. The chance of guys being traded or not being traded is baked into the number.

I'm sure if everyone knew beyond a shadow of a doubt no trades to make the team worse would happen, the Jazz would have a higher win total. Or if they knew for sure they would be traded, it would be lower.

Bet it now. If the number changes, it’s moot. You have it at 28.5.

I still think under. I think the young guys playing more hurts us this year more than playing Sexton, Collins, Clarkson all major minutes.
 
I would take 5th worst if that was offered right now.

The only guy I don’t want who’s highly touted is Harper. He’ll be a great college player but be a nobody in the NBA imo. Meh athleticism like his brother.

That is not baked in at all. This number is based on the current roster. Take that under all day if we go into the season with our current roster.

Nah, I like Harper. What he lacks in athleticism (he's fine in my opinion) he makes up for in being a dawg.

In that case then everyone should take the over. Lauri isn't getting traded.
(I think the number is based on the current roster though, not a hypothetical and unlikely and unknown roster)

Vegas accounts for anything no matter how speculative it is, if they think it affects standard fans betting behaviour.

Its also not based on simulation of results, its just expectation of how the action distributes. The line is set at the median.

So at the moment they think half the bets would go for 29 or more and half would go for 28 or less.
