Following Potential 2025 Draftees

CBA wont allow them to retain inifinite talent, unless the guys are so happy they take discounts to stay there or unless their owner is willing to bleed tens/hundreds of millions to chase glory.

Suns for instance are paying 244M$ tax this year for having a big-3. That is 194M in added tax payments for going 50M over line (and being a repeater).

SGA and Chet will be max players for sure, and Jalen Williams could get max or close to it from the markets. Them 3 alone are gonna put OKC in a land where every added 10M or 15M guy is gonna hurt like hell.
That's the point. They are able to reload on the cheap through the draft and then eventually trade guys coming up for extension for future assets while having the next guys ready to step in. Presti has put together an asset building machine that I don't think will slowdown anytime soon which will constantly allow them to replenish their stock of cheaper rookie contracts. It is an amazing thing to watch but also concerning since that is what we have to compete against.

Big 12 freshmen with 10+ points & 10+ assists in their debuts, all-time:

Trae Young, Oklahoma (11/12/2017)
Egor Demin, last night.

So you are saying they trade from the top of their roster and elevate less proven guys to take rheir place?

Sure that helps them manage the tax but it also lowers their peak performance, making them less scary.

At the end of the day its about their owners willingness to spend, and history shows that he has already wasted 1 stacked self-drafted roster due to being cheap, and that was in an era with less punitive financial restrictions.

a couple sleepers - freshmen at smaller schools who had big time college debuts:

Tyrone Riley, who was a four star kid wanted by a lot of power conference schools - 6'5" wing for San Francisco, dropped 26 on 10-18 FGs.

Gabriel Pozzato, out of Italy, is a 6'7" wing playing for Evansville, dropped 28 on 10-16 FGs.

We get to see the Rutgers duo this afternoon - an early game starting at 4 MST.

Demin looks intriguing. I'm going to end up falling for him and joining the herds of BYU nerds that think he is 1A 1B with Cooper prolly. Stay tuned.

When Jayden Quaintance was like 15 he was in OTE a playing almost as well as the Thompson twins. Had me questioning them because a 15 year was dominating in that league. Looks to be a freak athlete.

This class is so exciting. The last NCAA was an incredibly boring an uninspiring.

By the way Just checked Gabriel Procida's stats in his Euro games this year
Off to a very bad start Not sure what Jazz might do with him at this point for next year

Egor Demin reminds me of the player @Ferguson_Mellochill was trying to convince us Cody Williams was last year.

Demin is a different and better player than Cody. Demin looks like a bonafide, athletic, lead initiator who happens to be 6'8". Cody is a long wing with iso-scoring potential. Actually, I was hoping that Risacher could show some of that handle and on-ball creation, but he never did.

If Demin can do these things against NBA athletes, he's the real deal. See if he doesn't end up ahead of Traore. I'm guessing Will Hardy is crushing over Demin.
