Thats just sad and shows just how bad the perimeter defense is. Ive seen multiple defenses lapse by Cody. Ive seen players get to the rim against him easily. But other than TH you are probably right that Cody is the best we got.

So... I'm going to just come out and say it... Juzang is better than Brice. Juzang over Brice makes some sense right now for a couple reasons.

1- Johnny has never missed a three pointer ever.
2- His contract and type of player he is may legitimately net you a first if he continues to show what he does. I don't think the defense is horrific and the shooting plus cutting and attacking close outs is something that fits well on 30 teams. The price and length of the contract in this tight CBA environment should be appealing to contenders OR we may just keep him long-term.
3- Brice probably needs to play a little more like Cody. Especially on this team of dribble happy combo guards.

Eubanks... maybe he improves his trade value a smidge and nets you like a 2nd rounder... whoopty freaking doo.

Mills... fine play him last night since Collier has just now been made available but he is the Udonis Haslem of this roster. Just give over the minutes.

With both Mills and Eubanks it was the same "they've earned it" culture bull ****. With both of those guys they got more money than they would have elsewhere, so as John Hamm said with regard appreciation "that's what the money is for".
Never forget Rudy Gay. He also earned it.

Hardy has respect for vets that also translates to being more forgiving to them the older they are.

I maintain that playing Rudy Gay over Ochai was stupid. It didn't do much of anything to help develop him, that's for sure.

Cody only shot 41 threes at Colorado which is as stable as a fart in the wind. He very much needs to prove himself as a shooter. I think he will get there with time, but more of a lower volume guy. His release is slow, but it just needs to be good enough to open up his closeout game.

And look Ochai was/is a pretty basic 3 and D guy and wasn't some high potential guy BUT the other thing about getting these minutes is just finding out. We are in dire need of figuring out if these guys are keepers, if they suck, or if its worth continuing the adventure of development since we have 6 first and second year guys and 3 more coming in next year if we don't consolidate and trade up or move off of picks. The decision making with this many guys coming in needs to be pretty quick... maybe not final decisions but prioritizing. There isn't a ton of practice time during the season and some of these guys end up in the G League at least for a little while if they aren't in the rotation. So you get a look there... but Jason Preston almost averaged a triple double down there and he just flat out isn't an nba player.

While practice and scrimmage etc is all fine and dandy... you need playing time to help decide what to do with these kids. Its a critical data point and bypassing it for culture or some other old timey nonsense is just not smart. I am not for the front office dictating the coaching but I would be having a meeting to discuss getting Flip or Collier in the rotation or I would just be looking to ship out Patty or Eubanks. Its tough to make the decisions they have to as GMs... its impossible with giant holes in the information.

In spite of Cody Williams 3 point-ability (thanks Boler) or lack there of... Williams makes really good reads while penetrative the rim. His passing and the timing of his passes is smooth like butter.

We’ve seen how one sided players with no offense don’t survive the nba or just barely hold on. You have to have to offer something on offense to make it in the league. Hell if you have offense no defense you fair better.
Sure, but he's still the best defender so he is earning his minutes. He's also not doing anything wrong on offense, he's just bad offensviely.
