2024-25 Trade Rumors Thread

Sixers sent KJ Martin and two seconds to the Pistons to duck the tax (or help in doing so, not sure if that move gets them completely under)

I wonder if the Jazz/Pelicans would entertain Ingram for Collins/Svi. Pelicans throw in a swap or a bundle of 2nd round picks. That would get the Pelicans out of the tax.

Seems like Ingram has no value and he's the easiest player to trade for the Pels to duck the tax. Collins actually has higher value currently and would make sense for the Pelicans. Also don't think he would change their W/L trajectory all that much

I thought the Wizards might be an Ingram team as well, but with Kuzma dealt I'm not sure that possible. Hawks also potentially with Capela and other salary. Hawks could actually use Ingram to try and win now and potentially re-sign him.

Get him and let him rest and trade him again in October after he plays a few games. I mean we would win more with him on the team so we had have to find a way to pump his value without adding back too many wins.

Isn’t Brandon Ingram a free agent next year looking for a new $50 million per year contract? You trade for him now, it’s to let him expire and clear your books or it’s to get his bird rights.

I thought the reason the Jazz wouldn’t trade for him before was because the deadline to extend him had passed and he resisted being traded to Utah. They didn’t want to trade for him - just to have him leave this offseason.

Supposedly the Pistons are looking at rerouting KJ Martin and are angling for a bigger trade. Could be Sexton or Collins potentially
They were under the tax so could have done Tech for Sexton already but they grabbed a couple seconds.., maybe like a buttload of seconds for sexton? Orlando or Detroit still make so much sense.

Doubt we see a Collins, Sexton, or Clarkson trade. I think Collins -> SAC was real as everyone has reported, but Sexton and Clarkson likely never had much of a market at all. I'm guessing we got offered a couple of seconds Sexton and decline, Clarkson zero offers unless we were paying picks.
