Could the Jazz Milk Washington if The Ace Saga Sours?

I hope you let Tony/Andy know. The predatory **** is a real problem and this is public enough now that maybe it can get aggregated and start a conversation. There’s clear violations here if your information is correct.

If what you’ve heard is accurate, that seems like a major news story. Like ESPN/Ringer major. Really recommend funneling the sources to TJ or Andy or getting their help to get it to the right people if it’s too hot for them.
I dont understand how this helps Ace or the Jazz.

one would hope and today we've seen clips of people shutting the rumors down, etc, but get him here. i know he has until monday, but if we're all good and he's that excited to be here, what's the hold up.
Hard to say really. Prolly a place he’s never been and maybe not exactly thrilled with the demographics. We got some really cool young guys on the team, hoping they’re on the horn with him assuaging his fears/concerms.
That was the interview I referred to and its on YT (Bailey discussion starts around 13:30):

Yeah wasn’t sure, still SI has a lot of credibility to stand on for substantiation. I did like the part where the Jazz say emphatically that they are not trading him.

Ace has posted Jazz gear pics and shared Jazz hype videos on his IG reel since yesterday.. including a pic of him in a Jazz cap where his caption praises God.

This whole drama was always coming as a sideshow if we draft him. Its just the predraft decission to not work out and the preferred destination stuff. Its easy to sell to the public when obviously we arent one.

espn is dumb. it's not an unimportant distinction.
Read Sarah Todd's story that seems to have an audience of one, Ace Bailey, in mind. This isn't ESPN's fault.

What is common:

A player contracts with an agency, who will sometimes provide a management team should a player need it. Donovan had a management team, I believe, through his agency. Lauri and Kessler don't have management teams beyond their agents, I believe - the Jazz handle all PR, etc.

What is not common:

An AAU coach cosplays as an agent, completely ****s up a kid's draft for who knows what reason - though HH has provided some solid ideas in this thread - knows he can't represent the kid himself without certification and goes out and finds an agency that will let him be involved. (Rich Paul isn't going to be like, yes Omar Cooper, given your extensive experience of ****ing up two careers already, I'd love to have you be a part of what we're doing for Ace.) So he finds an agency that will let him be involved - all they have to do is handle the contract, since they're certified. Doesn't matter that they just represent golfers, Big Omar has this handled.

That's the situation Ace is in. Great that he's coming to the Jazz, but this mess isn't over until he wakes up and gets this creepy dude out of his life. Hopefully between Sarah Todd, Kevin O'Connor and like 18 different NBA players on social media or podcasts he's getting the message. If not, Lauri needs to slap some sense into him.

Do we actually know Omar is the source of this? Givony and Sidery have been clickbaiting on this subject a lot, but are they somehow connected to Omar? I dont think so.

Feels like ESPN buållshit drama. Utah hate is easy to sell and they got their clicks.

Omar and GSE wanted Ace to land in a good situation, but all actual quotes from them that Ive read indicate that basketball fit and a clear path to a proper role is what they actually cared about.

Also who the f is that Scoot B Robinson guy? Anyone got a clue how he iw actually connected to Ace or Omar?

We do. I point you to Sarah Todd’s article.

The media didn’t create this story. The Ainges leaked to the media and the media pressure is why we’re in a better place now. The media saved this situation.

I wonder... Where are Ace's parents in all of this mess with Omar? It is my understanding Omar got his claws into Ace at 15, 16 or 17 years of age? How do you let that guy, with his questionable background, get his claws into your young son?
