Lauri haven't find any tools to answer for tougher double teams (if players are not high level,then he can punish double teams better) and score tougher shots. Didn't make many easier as well, so gotta hope he wakes up for the knock out games on weekend.
He's a good system player in a team with playmaking and other reliable scoring options (see his all star season). Lauri was really good with Conley and Clarkson bc in his all star season, that was a real back court with playmaking and explosive JC at his last really good season.

Lauri can handle double teams against very poor competition, but really struggles against better talent. He’s just not super comfortable under pressure. NBA defenders can take him away 1v1.
This isn’t anything new, of course….we all know Lauri is not a self creating player.

Lauri struggle against good players which is not surprising considering how he waste his time last 2 years.
Precautionary measure is all they said. Maybe related to last game where he hit his head on the floor and looked wobbly after getting up.
Is Nurkic too good for the tank?

On paper he is still a good player. I don’t think he’s as good as the numbers say, but it looks like he can still play. Won’t kill the tank but way above the level of incoming young guys.
Nurk won't ruin the tank. I think he will be a good player to have. We desperately needed another guy to play minutes at the 5 so Filipowski can be played at the 4 more often. He will be good enough to give us some respectable offense/defense with Walker out of the game.
