Following Potential 2026 Draftees

I came in to the season thinking that Boozer would be a bad defender. He's been much better than I expected. I don't know if he'll have a positive impact on team defense, but I'm not currently worried about him having a negative one.

I feel pretty confident that he’ll be a positive defender, but I also have a different view of defense. I see the concerns, but my optimism has more to do with what I value in NBA defense versus Boozer himself.

If you don't think stats and production matter, you must suck at using those tools. User error.

NBA history is full of busts who had fantastic stats and production in college. There's also plenty of guys who, at a glance, were "nothing special" in the NCAA, but blossomed when they got to play a smarter brand of basketball.

Yeah and I'm sure the other ways of scouting have been flawless. If you're not able to gain value from numbers and production, that's a skill issue.

Iowa St has a 6'9 240 LB senior PF putting up Draymond Green kind of stats (Joshua Jefferson).

They run a lot of offense through him on the elbow. He's obviously not anything close to Green on defense (not that you were trying to say that).

I do think Momcilovic will play in the NBA some day. He's a weapon.

Cam Boozers game is kind of weird and I couldn’t put my finger on it but now I think I can and that is: ugly. In a way it reminds me of LeBron that his drives aren’t elegant but a lot of strength getting to the hole. I think the question is, will he be quick enough against athletic bigs in the nba. I think his game is diverse enough that he’ll be ok.

My thoughts are he plays heavy. He moves heavy. He jumps heavy.

I'm not sold on Koa either. I've watched a few games of Arizona and I'm not sure how well he'll translate into the NBA. He's a big dude that can bully college players but he can't shoot outside at all nor is he a center.

If the Jazz fall to #7 or #8 in the draft order, they may want to look at Karim Lopez ahead of Peat if Peat looks like a reluctant shooter.

Likely not, but their defensive stats aren't that far apart

Yeah, AJ’s not touching my top 2 with those stocks numbers. If this holds I would have to Wilson ahead of him as well.

He looks great in clips though, lighting fast first step. Don’t want to be too harsh on him.
