Me too but if we win too much because of Ace and Key then so be it.
Ace is looking like what I was hoping to get in the next draft if we tanked hard.
Key looks like a top 3 pick as well.
Kessler has proven himself.
All 3 guys are very young. Future is bright.

Would still like one more bite at the apple though and also don't want to make OKC better.

So back to your point, ya it sucks to be in this position.

From a purely competitive standpoint, I couldn't be prouder of our team right now. After such a thorough beat down on Sunday by one of the most stacked teams in the NBA, it takes incredible mental fortitude and determination to push through for a win. Most telling to me was how the Rockets were trying to find a weak link and break it down. It was obvious that they attempted to physically break down Lauri, but the soft label no longer applies. One can only imagine the verbal barbs that Nurk must have been subjected to from trash talking KD and the rest. Best I've seen from WCJ and possibly Svi as well. It's a shame that Flagg has been playing so well because Ace is playing as well as anybody in the ROY race and Flagg gets the glamour bump from going first and being so highly touted.

Also have to call out the coaching- the coaches told the players they had ‘lost the plot’ - attacking the strength of the D last game.

This game they stuck with the plan and attacked their weak links enough to force Rockets players to sit most of the second half because they were getting exposed.

We out rebounded the elite team and massively cut our turnovers. Just a masterclass from Hardy and his staff.

This was all called out in the radio call and postgame analysis, which is miles better than the TV crew at the serious work of basketball.
 
One step closer to giving the newest dynasty yet another lottery pick. We have the best farm team in the league! We are still in the league, right?

Out of state, not sure I can get the radio call unfortunately. But yeah, couldn’t agree more with your assessment regarding coaching.

And it’s not easy being a coach of a tanking team…not at all because you’re so compromised. I remember very clearly when Brett Brown was a respected Head Coach in this league and his name was bandied about for coaching vacancies and now after his stint as 76ers Tank Commander he’s basically Jeff Van Gundy, career assistant status. It’s a rock and a hard place and the rub is that Hardy would’ve no doubt been Head Coach of the C’s had he not jumped board for the Jazz HC job.

But yeah, it was definitely reassuring for me that Hardy, though he’s lost some luster as Tank Chief, is still that wunderkind we all believed him to be at the start. He has not lost the plot. He can still reach, inspire and motivate his overmatched troops. “Master class” is right! 100%!

He been out most of the year, so the defense didn't immediately get worse. Yes, I am aware. I know he makes a difference, but our defense still is bad with him. Ist it effort or talent?
