Lets keep winning against the lottery teams though! We gotta make sure we finish around 9-10 to make the FO feel good

Vs losing the pick? Absolutely those fans exist. They’re the ones panicking in game threads/on social media every time the Jazz have a lead in the fourth quarter.

You said there are fans that wish the previous games were like this one. Didn't say anything about vs losing the pick.
Tankers want lots of close losses. That ain't this.

Now if there were a world where it was lose every game by 20 and keep the pick or not lose every game by 20 and lose the pick then ya, maybe there would be people who choose option A.
But that world doesn't exist.

There is a real world that exists where you can just lose lots of games, some blowouts and some close losses and some wins, and keep the pick.

That is what tankers want.

Ok, so we agree then. Of course that world doesn’t actually exist, it was a hypothetical.
There is a real world that exists where you can just lose lots of games, some blowouts and some close losses and some wins, and keep the pick.

That is what tankers want.

To be clear, this is also what I want. My original post was intended to bemoan the perverse incentive structure the league has built, not call out people who are pro tank.
