Who do you like the most as a realistic pick between 6-8?

The Jazz drafting between #6-#8 seems like far & away the most likely outcome. Who do you like right now as a realistic draft choice in that slot?

For me right now it’s far & away Caleb Wilson. Nate Ament would be a distant 2nd.

With Key’s emergence I don’t want anything to do with Mikel Brown or Kingston Flemings.

Unfortunately I don't think Caleb Wilson will be available at 6.

I'm leaning towards Fleming right now as the guy I would want the most, but there is still a lot of time left. I think Fleming could easily play with Keyonte.

I'll also point out that if we end up at 5 or 6 in the tank standings then we'll still have about a 40% chance at a top 4 pick.

I don't know why anyone would want Ament top 10, much less top 8. Not much potential as was advertised

There's a pretty clear consensus top 4 with Boozer, Dybantsa, Peterson and Wilson in some order. The next tier of talent looks to include Mikel Brown, imo. Flemings is having a standout season and likely belongs in this tier, even if his measurables are a bit on the small side for the NBA.

Ideally, the Jazz would bring in someone who is: a) a standout athlete, b) with plus size/length, c) who plays defense, and d) who handles and moves the ball in a way that complements our wings (Ace/Lauri) and helps unlock Walker at the 5. At this stage, there isn't an obvious guy for me, but my shortlist would include Neo Avadalas, Karim Lopez, Hannes Steinbach and Tounde Yessoufou.

If the Jazz could swing a trade with Charlotte, where the Jazz trade back 2 or 3 spots and also grab the Hornets' pick from the Magic in the teens, I might consider that. I'd be looking for the above mentioned players, plus Carr and Cenac.

Quaintance is probably my favorite prospect in this range atm…but there’s obviously collision there with WK.

If we are talking about someone complementing the lineup of Kessler, Lauri, Ace and Keyonte we obviously need a secondary playmaker. That would be Wilson, Brown, Flemings, Philon.

Well, assume Wilson goes in the top 4. So if the Jazz are at #6, then yes they could take a guard. I'm biased in favor of big wings who can playmake. That archetype, which includes guys like Franz Wagner, Deni Avdija and Jalen Johnson, would complement what the Jazz already have, while also keeping more size/length on the floor. The question for me is whether Neo Avadalas is good enough as a shooter/scorer to enter into that tier.

Well, big wings who can playmake and defend are, probably, the hottest commodity in the draft behind unicorn centers like Wemby and the another-Lebron type of prospects. These are guys like Harper, Castle, and Edwards and they are not falling in the 6-8 range.

P.S. I am actually talking about big guards because the Jazz are pretty stacked with big SFs (Lauri, Ace).

I just realized that for several years the Jazz was absolutely obsessed with getting tall SFs that are good on defense. Besides Lauri, they got Agbaji, Fontecchio, Hendricks, Cody, THT, Toscano-Anderson, Ace... The amount of assets that they wasted in the pursuit of that coveted archetype was quite disproportionate compared to what they got.

But the Ainges are still doggedly searching for their new Tatum and Brown.

IDK... Carr is nice. There are also some cool pgs. Not sure if that's a need but talent is the question.

Watched Quaintance... clearly figuring things out post injury but he's huge. He looks like Kevin Looney physically and coming back from the injury kind of moves like him. I don't love taking a center that high unless they are DPOY worthy or can shoot or have amazing offensive versatility.

I'm very curious to see what we do with Walker. We have a pod dropping today hopefully with Tony Jones. There was a small tidbit towards the end on Walk and I'm kinda 50/50 on if he plays for us again. Might end up being a marriage of convenience.
