2026 NBA Trade Discussion Thread

This belongs in a separate thread that doesn’t exist yet (because I’m talking about the 2026 offseason) but if the Jazz are successful at keeping the pick but it doesn’t land top-4, I’m shopping it for a premium player like Trey Murphy (that pick + Lakers pick + 2nd highest pick between Jazz/Cavs/Wolves). Or seriously kick the tires on Anthony Black or Franz.

I’m planting my flag but making a thread about the 2026 off-season at this juncture feels like bad juju.

100% that’s exactly what they should do. Especially since the top talent in picks 4-8 seem to be 6’4” playmaking guards (just like Keyonte).

I’m curious to see what Orlando decides to do with their salary situation. Not sure either Wagner or Black is going to be available - but I’d be open to going after one if they are.

ONLY if it was for a Trae Young type of trade. That isn't happening so NO.
Don't think It would make sense for the Jazz even at that price, as a player that isn't a good pairing with Key. A theoretical get back on track of Zion (that I wouldn't expect) at least wouldn't be two small(ish) guards that don't defend, and one has no value off ball (not that a hypothetical healthy and engaged Zion is anything to write home as a defender or is that great off ball, but at least isn't another small guard).

Jazz should still be in asset collection mode.

If they’re going to be buyers at the deadline, they’d better make sure it doesn’t cost them their draft pick.

They just need top down talent and a top 8 pick this year helps with that.

I’d rather see them be sellers if there’s any market for the vets OR consolidate them plus a conditional or late pick for a talented young player if one comes available.
