They are both similar in they both put themselves in dangerous situations acting as vigilantes, and neither deserved to die. Many reactions to each situation have been opposite based on preconceptions and party affiliation.

My neighbor raped The Rocks kid.

We both made dumb decisions that put ourselves in danger. The two situations are the exact same and my neighbor and myself should face the same consequences!

Attending a counterprotest with a visible gun would've put Rittenhouse into the 'risky decisions' group.

But that's not all he did, he was drawing down on folks all day (a credible threat to their lives) and then killed people when they responded with violence.

About as pre-meditated as random murder can get, and none of his actions since then have made it seem less likely that that's what he set out to do that day. See the 'maybe I should do it again' style social media posts he's been making during our current ********.

Comparing the two is an insult to your own intelligence.

Even more baffling are the people who cheered Rittenhouse on, but are now enraged that Alex Pretti was carrying a legal weapon. Check out what Rittenhouse brought to a volatile situation, from another state. The Right defended him 100%. Alex Pretti? Not so much.
Interfered with the police? I’ve watched all the videos. Best I can determine he was executed. His crime was attempting to help a woman a border patrol agent had flung to the ground. Pretti was shielding her from the pepper spray, and trying to help her up. So he was executed. Not for one second did he interfer.

This is good, according to the Right. And he killed that night. So good!

As Trump, Bovino, Miller, Noem all indicated, he brought a gun with him! They said doing that means there is a good chance federal agents will kill you! Imagine that?! Federal agents can kill you for legally carrying a weapon. Second amendment doesn’t exist apparently. Which didn’t go over well with the NRA and others.

Why would you, or anyone, compare Pretti to Rittenhouse?? “Packed heat and interfered with the police”. No. No he did not, and you cannot look at any of the half dozen citizen videos and say he drew his weapon, or interfered in the least: he was helping a woman who had been pushed violently to the ground by an agent, and he was trying to shield her from pepper spray. For this he needed to die? He had a permit, there was no demonstration even taking place. A few observers using their phones to film agent activity. Thst’s legal.

Apparently even trump and many Republicans actually think there was something wrong with what happened to pretti.
trump removed his head of border patrol and face of ICE from Minnesota, he actually said nice things about governor Waltz, there are 14 Republican senators calling for investigations, the FBI is doing an independent investigation along with homeland security doing their own internal investigation, ted cruz is heavily criticizing the Whitehouse for how ICE is operating, kristi noem is being forced in front of a judiciary committee.....

This didn't occur with the nicole good situation. In that situation I could see a gray area. I could understand the shooter being afraid with a car coming in his direction (though the driver was not trying to kill him and he shouldn't have stood in front of a running vehicle).
The pretti situation is quite obviously murder. No one's life was in any danger (other than pretti). Dude got his *** beat, maced, and shot and killed for no legit reason.

Neither good or pretti were domestic terrorists and neither were out to hurt or kill anyone.

Gotta say Franklin, I usually like your counterpoint, as I appreciate opposing viewpoints and I think the nuance gets lost when we are just talking amongst ourselves, so to speak. But this is easily your worst take. Did you watch even a few seconds of video that wasn't curated by Fox News? Even the NRA is on the other side of this one. I didn't know you were THAT hard right.
