It's so weird. Seems like with all the rhetoric about trump administration being nazis they would do everything they can to NOT be like nazis.
Even if they want to be nazis it seems like they would think it's not a winning popular platform (unless maga/Republicans actually ARE more Nazi like than I thought) and would try to hide it.
I think that wave he is doing is likely innocent and isn't meant to be some Nazi dog whistle but it can definitely be taken that way and with the rhetoric you would think he would be extra careful and cautious.

The killings in Minneapolis of Renee Good and Alex Pretti have been compared to the murder of George Floyd, because they all happened within a few miles of one another, and because of the outrage they inspired. There’s an important difference, though: In 2020 the United States was in turmoil, but it was still a state of law. Floyd’s death was followed by investigation, trial, and verdict—by justice. The Minneapolis Police Department was held accountable and ultimately made to reform.
No one should expect justice for Good and Pretti. Today, nothing stands in the way of the brutal tactics of ICE and the Border Patrol. While President Trump seems to be trying to defuse the mayhem he’s caused by reassigning a top commander, he is not withdrawing the federal agents from the state or allowing local authorities to investigate, let alone prosecute, them for their actions.
Authoritarianism doesn’t disappear with the news cycle. The administration’s automatic lies about the killings and slander of the victims are less a cover-up of facts than a display of utter contempt for them. Trump, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, FBI Director Kash Patel, and other top officials seem to invite incredulity as a way to flex their power: We say black is white. Agree or you’re a criminal. When Stephen Miller recently claimed that geopolitics is ruled by the “iron laws” of “strength” and “force,” he was expressing the administration’s approach to domestic governance as well. Those words are iron laws on American streets.
The prelude to the violence of January 7 and 24 came not in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020, but in Washington, D.C., on January 6, 2021. Trump and his supporters were prevented from stealing an election and overthrowing the Constitution by democratic institutions—Congress, the courts, the police, the media, and public opinion. But the insurrection never ended. By the time Trump returned to power and pardoned the insurrectionists, almost half of the country believed that January 6 was a patriotic demonstration, a false-flag operation, or just no big deal. Throughout 2025, institutions that once restrained the presidency weakened or fell away one by one, until earlier this month Trump told The New York Times that the only limit to his power is his own mind. That same day, January 7, authoritarianism had its predictable consequence in freezing Minneapolis with the execution of Renee Good.
If rogue federal agents can shoot American citizens dead with total impunity, then it doesn’t matter whether state and local authorities, the courts, the media, the political opposition, and a mobilized public object. “ICE > MN,” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth wrote on social media—an assertion of raw force, not constitutional authority. When Trump and his loyalists call protesters terrorists and warn that disobeying orders will get you killed, they strip away any illusion that the federal government respects the lives, let alone the rights, of those who oppose it—potentially half the population or more.
A lawless regime is an illegitimate one. If the country seems to have reached a breaking point in Minneapolis, this is why. And yet Minneapolis also offers a compelling answer to the question that democracy-loving Americans have asked for the past year: What can I do?

You watch that video and your concern is with the way Pretti acts? Those ICE agents are incompetent and hostile. Real police do not conduct themselves like that at all. The ICE agents are dangerous clowns.
Yes... The guy was there to start trouble for ICE and his sole intention was getting in the way of them arresting child rapist, drug dealers, and other violent criminals. But hey... by all means go find a "real police" with someone pulled over and make sure you're armed. While he's conducting his arrest make sure you go push him out of the way and interfere with his arrest. You're getting tackled and potentially shot. This is common sense to most but not some apparently. Getting in the way and interfering with any law enforcement agency is sheer stupidity. Especially strapped. Dumb as a box of rocks.
Btw, this isn't happening in the other states because people are allowing ICE to do what they were voted to do. The only state this is happening is a state that is the at the epicenter of massive fraud where people like Ilhan Omar made like 20 million in a single year on a wine factory that literally doesn't even exist. Not to mention the billions upon billions being funneled through the "Learing Center" and THOUSANDS of other fake businesses that forced Tim Walz to retire.
These militants are extremely well coordinated and well funded. He was there in duty on both occasions with the very intent on disrupting federal law. All to protect some pretty terrible criminals. Let's not forget that this dufous would still be alive today if Walz and Frey allowed the police to help and arrest him in the first place but sadly they don't want peace.

You. You are conflating the two incidents. Here is a hypothetical scenario, that your take would indicate you would approve of, if it had happened this way:
Pretti is involved in an incident, in which he kicks the rear of an ICE vehicle, and breaks a taillight.
Sometime later, a week or so, he’s involved in another incident. All half dozen videos of that later incident show that he did not brandish his legal conceal carry, did not attempt to attack agents, tried to prevent getting pepper sprayed, tried to protect a woman whom Border Patrol had violently pushed to the ground, trying to protect her from pepper spray and trying to lift her off the ground.
Again, we see an agent remove Pretti’s gun, and trot away with it. Only then is Pretti shot. That’s an execution, whether you like it or not.
But wait! You actually relate it to the earlier incident. In order to justify him dying. So, you must be suggesting the following:
The Border Patrol agents might have recognized him, or told about him(?) from that previous incident. Like yourself, they decided if anything truly bad were to happen to him now, it would be his fault, and his fault alone. So, two of the agents shot him 9 times. He was unarmed. But he yelled at them a week or two earlier. “He should not have done so. We can kill him.” You’re suggesting, that IF that’s what they were thinking as they threw him to the ground, if they were conflating the two incidents, just as YOU are, that, to YOU, it’s OK that he was killed, because we certainly cannot blame the agents who pumped 9 bullets, some from several feet away, into an unarmed man.
Or, you’re simply saying this: he had an earlier incident in which he was violent toward ICE agents. Therefore, even though that earlier incident was not even known to these agents, probably the more likely scenario, we, the onlooking American must surely understand that that earlier unrelated incident must be factored in! He brought this on himself! We MUST consider that earlier incident when judging an incident in which 9 bullets are pumped into him while he’s unarmed and no danger to anybody! No, of course we must not do that! Not if we have half a brain!
That’s effed up! It wouldn’t matter if he had pissed on an agent in that previous incident! He could have pissed in an agent’s face, and it would NEVER justify pumping 9 bullets into an unarmed man!
Whether you know it or not, you are trying to justify Border Patrol executing him because he screamed at them, kick one of the government vehicles, and broke a taillight.
You are saying we should not be at all surprised that they unloaded 9 bullets into him, all because he broke a taillight and confronted agents earlier. Most Americans, at this point would not agree with you that ANY previous incident justify executing him.
But I’ve no doubt you’re serious in believing he deserved to be executed. MAGA and many Republicans may not go as far as you do, but…
