Yeah that's what I said in some other thread. Its gonna be up to Key and Ace and whoever Jazz drafts/trades for to become average to above average on defense. But the big trio should hold their own and Lauri should work pretty well playing 3 with JJJ and Walker in the lineup. It worked with the Cavs. And Lauri is better now. I'd try rotate minutes and lineups so Lauri would also get good playing time at 4 of course. Probably better for his long term health not having to run after small forwards all game.

Mannn, Gobert and a HEALTHY Favors were monsters together on defense. I remember watching games and being disappointed if the other team scored 100 points. We had no spacing on offense though, which was a killer. JJJ is like a best case Favors with a real 3 point shot.

Favors was just alright. Rudy is the GOAT regular season defender and you could put anyone next to him. JJJ+Kessler is a more balanced front court duo.
 
They don’t have Collier and Nurk coming off their bench. Anyway the Spurs have their number and we beat them with the scrub team. All I know is that we finally got the 4/5 of our dreams and a defensive stopper to boot. No question that we’re gonna be good, we’re gonna be real good!

Rubio paired up with those two had something to say about the spacing as well.
 
Its pretty low chances Utah surpasses them that quick, but not out of the question. Keyonte could take another jump. Shai took a big jump in year 5 which would be two years from now for Keyonte. Its safe to assume Ace will improve a lot by then. But who knows what our roster or their roster will even be in two years, things can change a lot.
